Okay okay okay, so, imagine you’re me, and you decide to look at some sweet sweet adrinette fluff. And you’re hyperfixated on Ninjago, so that’s where your thoughts go. And so you suddenly have a bruiseshipping love square halfway worked out.

And thus, we have the Miraculous! AU. In which Jay is a useless bisexual, Cole is a dumbass gay. In which I change the animals the miraculous are based on,,, because I can,,

Some Notes:

Jay has a crush on Cole. Cole has a crush on Jay’s alias, Lightningbug

Until/unless I think of something better, Cole’s alias is Bear Black. Lightningbug calls him “BB” for short.

Pixal is Jay’s friend. She runs the Lightningblog, ships Bruise & Geode, and plays wingman to Jay’s romantic endeavors.

Zane is Cole’s friend, and has listened to many a rant about why Lightningbug is perfect and great and adorable and handsome and—

Nya comes in in basically Luka’s role, if only to get Maximum Useless Bisexual Jay. Possible endgame lovetriangleshipping? Mayhaps

Cole is indeed a teen celebrity, but because of dancing. His father is strict but caring. His mother is dead? and his grandparents are kinda sketchy but I’m sure it’s fine.

Pythor gets akumatized over his love of snakes about every other month. It’s very annoying for the heroic duo.

Thanks for the interest! Of course it’s in its very VERY early stages of development, meaning i went “this would be cool if no ones done it yet” (That being said, if someone HAS done it, feel free to let me know!!)

The season would be called Ninjago: Palace of the Dragon King and it would be based off japanese folklore around Ryūgū-jō (the palace of the dragon king lol)

Ryūjin, the dragon spirit of the sea (who can chage back and forth between his dragon and human form), loses his tide jewels and calls upon the elemental master of water to collect them for him. Nya and her friends travel underneath the sea and to the underwater Palace and meet Ryūjin and his daughter Princess Otohime, who insists she accompany them on their travels to search for the jewel. Someone (Garmadon, perhaps?) Catches wind of the loss of the jewels and now the ninja have to race to gather the jewels before anyone else gets to them.

in a comedy of errors, one of the jewels is broken, and when the ninja return to the Undersea Palace, Nya must find her true potential and form another tide jewel in three days time or she and her friends will be trapped in the palace for 1000 years.

R: What's your writing set up like? 

Picture this! 

I'm on my couch, there's absolutely no noise, I'm the only one in my house (my mum is at work) I have a cup of tea that I made an hour ago in one hand and it's stone cold but I'm drinking it out of principle, my phone is in my other hand and Google docs is open on light setting because I'm a heathen. 

Wait, no, I spend an hour flicking between TikTok, Tumblr and Instagram before I mentally go "start writing" and then I force myself to open docs. I'm an incredibly fast typer on my phone so I use that, and whilst a laptop may be a better idea (and I do use it sometimes) I am on another level typing out on my phone. Like, I am fully aware that I'm very fast at typing on my phone. 

Then I type for five minutes, get up to boil the kettle to make another drink, pace around the house distracting myself, forget to make a drink, reboil the kettle a bit later and get a fresh cup of tea. 

Get into the zone

Then bust out a whole ass fic.

Hi!! I have a lot for the au (thought up at least, I haven't written anything down anywhere), I actually thought about it yesterday and was doing a digital on my phone to play with the colors! I really liked playing with the fire in the background

I give you Revontulet! The hotheaded fox hero who was the next to show up after Lightning Bug and Mau Kem.

Kai and Nya both found out about their elemental abilities at the same time, and they both got their miraculous' at the same time. When Lightning Bug's luck charm told him to go to Wu during a particularly hard battle, Wu directed him back to the fight and gave Kai and Nya the Fox and the Dragon miraculous', so they know each other's identities (which would've happened anyways bc they know each other's elements). Wu let them keep the miraculous' after the fight in case Mau Kem or Lightning Bug ever need help.

Wu and Garmadon have a dojo where Jay, Cole, Kai, Lloyd, Nya, and Zane all study martial arts and self defense, so the team is a bit closer to the Guardians of the Miraculous than Marinette and Adrien are. There are, of course, other students, but they're the top of their class at the dojo. They're also more of a team than in ml because all of them keep their miraculous rather than return them.

(Yes Garmadon is also guardian bc c'mon this is Wu we're talking about)

Kai and Nya were confused when Wu approached them about it because they already knew him as the wise old sensei, and now shows up in the middle of a disaster and apparently he had some magic jewelry that he's been guarding for like 200 years or something?? And now they're going to be superheroes alongside the two strongest people in Ninjago City and fight some evil possessed people? Needless to say they were excited and nervous once they got over the shock.
