Part 1
You wait patiently for your friend to get to you in the restroom. After Kai had calmed down you decided to excuse yourself. You had sent a waiter to go and tell your friend to meet you in the restroom for an urgent matter. You knew that a call or text to her would probably be ignored. After a good 5 minutes your friend comes into the restroom with a worried look on her face.
“You said it was urgent? Are you getting your period? Do you need a pad?”
You quickly said no before she could go on with the questions. You could see the clear confusion on her face.
“There are few things that you need to explain to me unnie.”
She giggled, “Stuff about the birds and the bees. I knew you were innocent but not so innocent.”
You roll your eyes at her comment.
“How do know Kai?, or should I say Kim Jongin.”
You could see her shocked face.
“He showed you?”
“Yes he did. Now answer my question.”
“Remember when I told you about my job?”
“You said you work in an office and I do not see how this fits into anything.”
“It actually fits into everything. I work at SM in the marketing department and that is how I meet Exo. After a while I got to know them better.”
“It must have been a burden to keep this a secret.”
“Yes it was. I am so happy that you now know,” you both hugged and then she added,”we better get back to our dates.”
You walked into the private restaurant room and could see Kai and another male who you can safely assume is Sehun with their backs facing the door. You were about to make your your presence known when Kai began to speak.
“Sehun you were lucky with her but I don’t think that Y/N would want the kind of relationship that I offer. I wouldn't be surprised if she’s gone home.”
You could hear the heaviness in his voice. It almost sounded like he was close to tears.
“Jongin, stop being an idiot. From all the information about Y/N, I don’t think that she is one to break promises and even if...”
Your sneeze instantly stop the conversation. Both boys look at you. You can feel your face heating up and pray that you don’t look as red as your face feels.
“I guess I should get back to my date. It is nice to meet you Y/N and i wish you and Jongin all the best,” says Sehun as he walks out of the room.
You take a deep breath and walk over to Jongin.
“Sehun is right about me not breaking my promises.”
Jongin interlaces his hand with yours, ”I was so scared of losing you because hyung had once went on a blind date with a girl he really liked but when she found out it was him on their third date,” he let out a heavy sigh, “she just left him in the the restaurant and sent him a text saying that she does not want the kind of relationship an idol has to offer. Hyung was heartbroken.”
You move closer to Jongin and wipe away a few stray tears. He takes your hand in his and places it on his cheek. You can hear a loud thumping of your heartbeat. In that moment you knew that you had begun to fall for the man in front of you.
