Prompt: Working backstage

I drew Cream Soda!Chanyeol as a fire eater for the exo-l secret Santa about two years ago, and since working with a theme last year worked out pretty well I thought - why not try to do something about the story I said that I'd do something about back then? (>v<;) My general idea is that an outsider gets to see the members of a world renowned circus perform both on and behind the scenes, and this is how they interpret Soo at first or something like that - cue the use of the "working backstage" prompt hahah)

Here is a series of doodles made on my e-reader in celebration of Kyungsoo's birthday. To be featured on @exo-agora !

Out of all solos, Kyungsoo's mean the most to me. The quiet joy and the simplicity that they convey have accompanied me during hard times and happy moments alike.

NOTE | I have always felt guilty about my drawings. I can copy existing art quite accurately, but when comes the time to make my own, I feel lost. So focused I was on my skills, I almost forgot about the joy and the peace I used to feel when drawing. Sharing art can prove to be an extremely vulnerable thing. We wait for the improved skills, the right materials or the right moment, and then give up, feeling self-conscious. In the end, I think none of this matters. What is important is the smile someone will have on their face while looking at our creations, and it should start with us liking what we do.

Today is Kyungsoo's birthday, but I think in the end, these humble doodles are dedicated to you, reading this post. Know that I made these with all my heart and a smile on my face 🌻
