A wall full of gas masks in one of the numerous fallout shelters in erstwhile #westberlin. The #nuclearwar paranoia had reached such dizzying heights in the #coldwarera that governments were frantically spending in creating such facilities all over the world. Just consider this, in a world freshly ravaged by two world wars, governments were flushing resources down the drain on such ultimately useless artifacts neglecting humanitarian causes all over, simply because #afewmadmen decided that the world is their backyard to do as they please and all of us humans are nothing but #expendablepawns. And with #trump pulling out of the #irandeal and with fresh troubles in #golanheights, the happiness of #koreanpeace was short-lived and the dreaded memories of our #bloodiedpast are back to haunt us.
