I can hear my tv show better on my 13 inch mono-sound crt then i can on my brother's giant roku tv. Like, it's the same show. And I need captions to hear things I watch now days.

I know everyone always talks about how much sound mixing sucks now days, but maybe it's not just that? Maybe it also has to do with what we're consuming our media on?

I need to run some more test, but I'll come back later with my findings.
