I know explaining art is not always done, or perhaps done more often than advised in my opinion, but if it is going to be explained, we are going to need more than just all those words. Show us what we have trouble seeing, open it gruesomely, touch it with the delicacy that hardens us when we try to alone.

Internet dating informs uni work

Yes as weird as this sounds I like to create online dating profiles that specifically only give away a small amount of information and mainly about future career aspirations and studying a fine art degree.

This is because most people arent aware of art therapy and what it is or involves, therefore forcing me to inform others. Everytime I briefly describe Art therapy I am learning what it is I find interesting about it and why I am interested in this career.

Also people ask what a fine art degree involves or what I do... and yet again no one ever knows what interactive installation art is (to be honest It took me a while to get my head around it too!).

This constant talking about my work, what it represents and sometimes trying to prove why it is art is really brain racking and helps to keep ideas flowing. Especially getting someone who is not familiar with art to understand is vital to my learning and is making me more confident about my own work.
