Sensitive
Thought:
At what point did we begin to assume that describing a person as “sensitive” means “easily offended?” If, by definition, we take it to mean perceptive and sympathetic, it’s a quality we should all wish to have. Nobody is proud to be totally insensitive. Everyone wants to think that they’re always tuned in to the people around them. Can we please have casual usage of this word back?
