A BIG REALIZATION

My OC's current name comes from the name of the same woman from the film: Vampire Hunter D- Bloodlust; the one who was in love with the vammpire: Meier Link. And the primary reason for giving her the name Charlotte was that it sounded nice to the ears. Her current surname, Hemlocks, was taken from a character named Debbie Hemlock of the novel: The Saga of Darren Shan: Tunnels of Blood. Yet, as I researched further about the real Hemlock flower, I learned that all parts of it are toxic. Coincidentally, I have created Charlotte's family to be composed of intelligence, charisma, elegance, and allure.

But, I've also created Charlotte as a pureblood vampire who also possessed the temperament of a human, which from her family's perspective made her an extremely rare variety amongst vampires. However, some of her relatives also saw possessing a portion of human nature as a weakness. To them, human emotions are a taboo to their kind, as it makes them weak; potentially weakening their vampiric nature and making them no longer view their prey as food.
