Explain To Me: Voldemort (4/4)

Maddy: Is the face a horcrux? Is his horcrux some dudes HEAD? Why was he on some dude’s head, I never understood. Is one his wand? ONES THE GOBLET! I remember that one.

Duncan: His head is not a horcrux, that’s kinda different. Neither is his wand, there is a kind of cup/goblet though. Do you mean the goblet of fire?

M: NO, the one in the safe where Hermione had to pretend to be Tim Burton’s wife.

D: Yes, that’s one. Any more?

M: How many more?

D: Two objects and two other things.

M: ONES HARRY. Right?

D: Yes.

M: Is the snake one?

D: Yeap.

M: Wait his pet, Nagreedy?

D: Nagini, yes.

M: Um . . . I dunno maybe like his car?

D: Voldemort’s car, what type of car was that?

M: A Holden.

D: Okay, well done. And the last one?

M: Is Dobby one?

D: Pretty close.

D: I think we all know him a little better now.

M: Yeap, don’t really know who Voldemort is. Um he kills twilight guy?

Duncan: Okay, what about the muggles, did he like them?

Maddy: Didn’t he want to like kill all the muggles? Wait isn’t Hagrid a muggle technically, cos he didn’t like Hagrid, or was that someone else?

D: He got Hagrid expelled.

M: Oh yeah, and it was that actor that didn’t even look like Hagrid. And Hagrid got a spider pet cos he was sad about getting expelled. Did Hagrid just build a shack and be like I live here now? Like why would you hire someone you expelled.

D: Why did he not have a nose?

M: I dunno, it fell off? Dumbledore cut it off, it’s pretty messed up.

D: Dumbledore didn’t cut it off, no. Could you explain to me horcruxes?

M: They’re Voldemort’s soul so he didn’t die, but that didn’t work out for him. Okay so here’s the tea: Voldemort broke up his soul and put the pieces in loads of things and scattered them about so no one could find them and kill him.

D: Well, you actually got that pretty much perfectly.

D: What were all of the horcruxes?

M: Alright, alright, alright: We got a diary, that talks to Harry Potter, a ring, ummmmmmmmm is the guys turban one?

D: No.

Duncan: Okay, back to Voldemort. What does he do?

Maddy: What does he do? He does everything. He’s a fetus, he’s a man with a turban, what can’t he do.

D: What did he want to do before he knew harry potter?

M: Something to do with Chamber of Secrets, snake man. Azkaban? No that’s the jail.

D: Salazar Slytherin?

M: No, the actual snake ya know.

D: The basilisk?

M: Yeah, that’s it something with that, I dunno maybe he wanted to be possessed by Salazmen Slitherboi.

Explain To Me: Voldemort (1 /4)

Maddy: Alright first off, no nose.

Duncan: True.

M: Okay. Is he related to Harry Potter? Is he his real dad or something?

D: That’s Star Wars.

M: Why is harry potter so connected to Voldemort, I never understood.

D: Connected?

M: He shot him. With death. But because somebody loved him, he lived, but apparently no one loved Lily or James. I used to think his mother’s eyes were special and that was the key to him living, and that’s what the eye thing meant but no, he just looks like his parents.

M: He is Tom Riddle, I think.

D: What’s his middle name?

M: Who knows his middle name? Nobody.

D: Its actually pretty well known. 

M: Is it Voldemort?

D: Not quite.

M: Marvolo is the most ridiculous name I’ve ever heard. I have a lot to say about JK Rowling right now, but I won’t.

I'd find it stupid if someone told me "I'm going to a straight wedding ". So can someone explain why exactly we need to say " I'm going to a gay wedding "?

Cursed or Born?

In the movie Frozen, Elsa's father tells the troll king that Elsa was BORN with her ice powers. Throughout the movie though, Elsa refers to it as a curse. I want to know why Elsa and others refer to her ice powers as a curse when really she was just born with it. I can understand she sees it as a curse by how people are treating her as a monster and such but I want to know why her powers are referred to as a curse throughout the entire movie when her father clearly stated to the troll king that she was born with them after the troll king as if she was cursed or born with these ice powers. Elsa's father clearly stated: "Uh, born. And it's getting stronger." Or at least something around those lines. He clearly said born though. Another reason I want to know about this is because Elsa's parents don't seem to know how to control her powers. If she was cursed with them, they would be trying to find the person who cursed her and ask for a cure. Or they would do like they did in the movie and try their best to help Elsa cope with them. If she was born with them, how come Elsa's parents didn't have ice powers? Why weren't they able to come up with greater solutions to her problem? She had to have her ice powers inherited somehow if she was born with them. Why didn't we see a person in the movie that also had ice powers, most likely related to the king or queen, and knew how to deal with them to help Elsa. Since Disney is making a sequel to this great (maybe I'm using way to weak a word to describe this film...) movie, they should show how Elsa inherited her ice powers and why she even has them in the first place either in a giant backstory movie or getting it explained somehow at some point in the sequel to come. I really want the whole 'curse or born' situation to be solved. It would help me and most likely hundreds of viewers out there understand the backstory of Elsa's powers better.
