one thing i wish those lists of amazon/walmart/target alternatives would address is the intersection of cost and time. because i would love to completely quit those three (instead of merely cutting down as i have done) but the reality is 99% of the time the companies on those lists cost substantially more than the big three (usually because the quality of product is higher, so I don't blame them I just get frustrated) (which is hard/impossible because im broke) and 100% of the time they are time prohibitive, either because they are a small store with bank hours or because i would have to go to four stores/websites to get what i could curbside pick up at one or because the nearest one is over an hour away or because of this that or the other. and i get that we all have to make sacrifices for the cause, but i am working multiple 12+ hr shifts a week and am a caregiver at home so time and money are both in short supply and people providing alternatives have yet to address at least the time aspect, and rarely the cost aspect, that I can see
