#exploding tardis

Working on the house howler paintwork. Since it’s themed after the exploding TARDIS, I decided to lay down all the lighter colours first so I don’t have to battle against the blues in this design for vibrancy. Once the sealant coat is dry I’ll antique the mouth and start on the blue sections.

Hello friends! Sharing a new finished painting, this one being my rendition of The Pandorica Opens from the Doctor Who Episode: The Pandorica Opens. Second photo is a detail shot of the text (I made it personal to me as a sort of signature.)

Oil on Canvas, 18x24 inches. Most of the painting is a single alla prima session, but the text was a separate session.

I made these back in November!! (Or December... not sure)

And I still have no idea of how they turned out so pretty! I mean, I tried to re-create them again and nada. One of a kind they say.... quite literally in this case.

Page 9 is done! It looks gorgeous doesn't it? This makes 7 out of 37 pages. I will try and finish up the upper row now, before starting page 10 and working on the tardis more.
