5 Places to Go in the World
These are my top 5 places to go in the world and a little information about each place. I do have a dream to travel the world, or at least a good portion of it. So, I hope these suggestions perk any of your interests. :)
Okay, let’s get the obvious out of the way. There are so many places to explore in Japan and I‘ve always wanted to see the birth-country of Anime, hehe. I’ve always wanted to explore the famous Ice Caves in Narusawa, as well Aokigahara forest. I want to visit the temples and museums, their culture’s and history has always interested me. Of course, I want to experience the cities and cafes.
Ever since watching the Lord of the Ring and The Hobbit, I’ve alwas wanted to go to New Zealand. An old friend of mine once went for holidays (he brought me back a lotr pen) and showed me loads of pictures of the landscapes and countryside. Might I say, the country is stunning!
3. Woodstock, New York, U.S.A.
I have been here before for a wedding and I would LOVE to go back.It is a bit touristy, but the atmosphere is so nice. I remember my siblings and I were walking down the streets in the main part of the town and there were these old dudes sitting on some benches and just from walking past them they gave us the peace sign. The woods that surround the place are so majestic as well. There’s a lot of deers and small black bears as well. We caught some deer in the garden of the house we stayed at one morning, so cute!
My parents went here to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Not many people go to South Italy for holidays because everyone just wants to go to Rome and Venice and Verone and all the big well known cities. This is because the South region is underdeveloped and more traditional. Not many people living there speak English and most are farmers in citrus, vinyard and olive farming. I would love to go here because I want to get a taste of ‘real Italy’ than ‘popular Italy’.
5. Aran Islands, West Ireland
Okay, I am not being bias because I am from Ireland/ live in Ireland, out many places I have been to this is probably one of my favourites. I have only ever been to one of the three islands (Inis Oirr), but since I have firstly visited, I’ve been going back every June. The time to visit is the summer because that is the only time the weather is good or decent. If you want to know something about Ireland; it’s that the weather is some-way ‘bipolar’. We could have a day where it’s super sunny and lovely, then in the course of 5 minutes it’s pouring rain. Another reason to go here in the summer, is that in Inis Oirr, every June, there’s an Irish music festival called Craiceann. It’s a bodhrán festival and not gonna lie here, everywhere you go during this week, music BLARES from every corner of the small island. There’s also a dolphin that swims locally between the islands, she’s so friendly!
I hope this list interests any of you and that you would consider any if you are planning to travel anywhere abroad this year or next. :)
