Okay AU where Virgil starts online dating someone that’s like popular online, but has been very quiet about it and they finally decide to meet irl. The sides (brother AUs, gotta love em) catch him singning When he sees me and somehow realize that Virgil has been seeing someone in secret so now they’re invested in finding out who this person is and like they ask directly and get a flat out, “Whaaaa? No? Me? Dating? Psssh Who would date me?” And like Virgil starts doubting the relationship and like he’s scared. So now it’s become sides on whether or not Virgil actually meets up with them or not. And like Virgil actually decides to put on his figurative pants and talk to person of interest and they talk it out about their actual feelings, what the relationship really means, if it’s romantic or platonic. What they end up realizing is that it doesn’t matter, they just want each other in their lives. They do research together because relationships are confusing and try to figure everything out together. Meanwhile the sides aren’t quite understanding it, but try to learn with them as the unsure relationship blossoms into a comfortable relationship which in turn soothes the uncertainty of the brothers and decide “Welp he is old enough to decide for himself” and continue on with their life because relationships don’t have to be a spectacle. Both Virgil and his person of interest find out things about themselves and each other that makes their bond and affection for each other grow. Like I want to see that.

Anyways I had to get this out of my brain because I’ve been thinking about it the past two days.

On one hand, the film explores the way the love relationship changed in time. It does not supply us with the explanation of what led to the supposive brake up. Rather, the viewer gets to see the samples of their attitude to each other from the time they had just started the relationship and from the moment they could not be together anymore. I suggest that the gap is made intentionally in order to intensify the distinction. We get to see the woman being in love, appreciating the moments together and his support, but some time later she can not stand any of his manifestation of life. The man, who believed that a marriage means you had chosen the girl you can not live without and you should be together forever. Yet later on in life he struggles to keep up with his beliefs, he is absolutely lost. They begun as the closest souls and ended up strangers, roughly saying.And we are here to see that the most tender couple could have a depressing future, and the most depressive couple could have had a tender beginning.

On the other hand, the gap could be for the viewer to fill it with personal experience. Many people have experienced similar withering or had seen it done by their relatives or friends, and they are all different. To have a conversation with the audience and hook on their feelings, the film could be structured to suggest the beginning and the ending point, and the viewer is left to fill up the gap.

Another way to understand the film, is that it only says about the unpredictability of life. That sometimes seemingly perfectly matching people do not have a bright future. Overall, it is a sad story about how people are unfortunate and vulnerable, and you do not really get the cure or any life hack to avoid a wailful ending, since there is a gap between you feeling happy and finding yourself in a miserable state.

He’s new. I know things about him that scream at my senses to push him away, but the idea of danger excites me. When he compliments me it’s like no other compliment from anybody else has ever meant anything, because he has no reason to notice me, yet he does. Fear stabs at my heart every time a joke is made about our sudden closeness, but hope trickles into the wound, healing it despite my body’s best efforts to let it scar, and be a warning. He makes me want to be confident, yet he makes me so weak that I am anything but, confident. Why does he notice me? Is he like this with all the girls, or am I important to him? Does he even care? Why do I feel like nothing at all compared to him, yet his attention makes me feel like I am everything in the world?
