What are you working on and what are you setting aside to work on in the next six months? Are you planning? I am a planner! Covid has definitely thrown a few curve balls our way, but not all bad, I hope! If you want to, let me know some of the positive things you are doing or creating while staying at home more. . International Society of Experimental Artists 2019 Fall Member Only OnLine Juried Exhibition Artwork by Elaine Weiner-Reed titled Queen of Hearts. Here is a statement about the work: An extension of my "Masks and Mirrors" series, this bas-relief is my way of straddling the 2nd & 3rd Dimensions. I took the sculpture… The last two drawings… From conception to clay to polyester resin cast sculpture. Unfortunately, I gave this away many years ago, and I think the recipients threw it away. That was six months of work, so now you know why I rarely give pieces away anymore… Smile. . The drawings based on my examination of nuts is what eventually led to the sculpture. It became very organic, even more than its roots. . Looking back to move forward… I was so fortunate to have found all these sketches and many many more and old sketchbooks I have been organizing. . “The Music in Her” ... I am so pleased to learn that this painting was accepted into the Maryland Federation of Art’s online exhibition ?Binary?Nonbinary? - where I am one of 38 artists selected by show juror Dr. Yuriko Jackalls. . The online exhibition should be live very soon on MFA‘s website (Curve Gallery). .
