Plastercast of Michelangelo’s Slave in the Academy of Arts, 1945 - Ph. Herbert List
One of the few pieces from my 3D class that I actually ended up liking lol we were supposed to create a plaster cast with a repeating texture (I used plastic dinosaurs)
Introducing ‘Sculpture Maternum’. A solid plaster totemic emblem, to add a sense of calm and cohesion to your space. Made one at a time, each one finishes with its own unique character marks and tone. Tune in to the stories (or highlights) to see the long journey it took to get this into the tangible world.
Stands 12-14” tall off its plaster base. The totem it self is 9” in diameter and a little more than 2 inches thick. I think this is just the beginning with this shape. Colors and variants to come! Send a Message if you’re curious about getting one in your space.
Got a plaster model of Grogu as a gift from my mum this Christmas it's a simple little thing but I think it turned out okay.
I got around to making my ‘Bad Egg’ a little friend to play with the other night.
I wanted to make his/her/they’re appearance as similar as possible to the other one instead of labouring over the inside of the mouth like I said I might in the last post, so I decided to just do a closed jaw version.
Basically I just copied the outline of the teeth as closely as possible, however I wasn’t really happy just stopping there. It felt like a cop out and would just result in a less interesting version of the original. Because of this I decided to dig through the back of the jaw and expose a hole behind the eggs molars. I’m delighted I put in the extra effort because now the eggs are not only almost identical, but they are about the same weight.
Twins!
I’m a very proud father :)

Really love this piece. Details came up through this piece, serial number that was on the bottle and the ridges between it.
I chose plaster for these objects considering the items of my choice were domestic. Plaster is a building material and domestic living/settings are considered houses and spaces that we occupy.
