So...I kicked my own ass into trying to draw something, today....

Welp! Here's my first poly drawing of Monoshin with Reader...or an OC, whichever.

Admittedly, I did cheat and trace from a base drawing, but that's only because I cannot draw without it or at least without a reference photo. I've tried, for many years since I was a kid. My drawings have always come out horrible. My drawing, here, mistakes were made and if there are any more, I can't spot them, right now. But all the kudos go to the artists of the original base drawings! This is my first Monoshin (+ extra) art, and I gotta say, despite whatever little mistakes there are, this one came out pretty decently! I'm somewhat proud of it. 💕

Also, how do people draw hair?! I can't even do cartoon/anime hair...and Shinsou, Sir, yours proved to be a nightmare, even as a bajillion scribbles.

Anyway...I hope you guys like my horrendously-decent-even-though-its-traced drawing! 🤣

Idk if my anon question about whether the extra character would cost 2x the price were what sparked the discussion or not but here’s my take as someone who wants to commission you in the future :))

Do I want to pay the least amount of money I can? Sure, that’s how it is with money

HOWEVER,

Do I also want to support you? Pay a fair price for your work? Make you not undervalue your skills?

Absolutely

I think 5$ is fair, I think looking at the prices of some other commissions 10$ is also right! Do what you feel like is best for you. Maybe do it like you did it now - make some commissions with these prices and when you feel confident enough - raise them again. Will some folks get mad? Maybe? But then again there will also be those willing to pay anyway :) follow your wonderful heart with this. If you feel inexperienced it’s ok, you will get a hang of it I’m sure

They were just adjustment suggestions to be fair to everyone. In reality I would like my drawings to be as affordable as possible for everyone, even if I have things to pay that are relevant to my studies and work. I don't know if this tweak actually bothered anyone, but I need to think of people who just want a single character also paying $25 and with an extra character +5 feathers??? I think $10 is fairer for everyone...

So for any case and situation regarding illustration, it's good to talk to the artist, but you ask before and now were extremely important, don't hesitate to give your opinion!!! Thank u so much 💗💗💗

Watched the recent episode of My Hero Academia on Toonami today on demand and was looking at this one extra character in the episode. I don’t know her name, but let’s nickname her “Apple Girl”. Did a sketch of her. What do you think?
