Bonnie knew she wasn’t supposed to be there, but to allow anyone else to have this case was something she just couldn’t do. After ditching Sanngriðr , the witch snuck out the first chance she got. Idea popping into her mind as she drove away from her home, she got the thought to pick up her friend Xanthe so she could join her. If she weren’t busy that was and well if she happened to be, Bonnie still planned on getting her to come along anyway.

It was earlier in the week did she get a tip from ….well…a “unknown” reliable source,  telling her that some abnormal activity had been going on at the old Miller farm.  Being one to enjoy all things abnormal, Bonnie kept the tip to herself and waited for the right time to see what was going on. Which was now.

Around for a bit the witch drove until she spotted the other female coming from somewhere.  While curiosity began to beckon, Bonnie didn’t question things. Instead, she pulled over to the side of the curb and rolled down her window. “  Hey stranger, scale of one to ten how up for a mini adventure would you be?”

48. out of habit

The first time she had kissed anyone, it was a rather traumatic experience for the receiver.  Over time, she’s learned when kissing is acceptable and when it’s not.  And when it comes to Joseph, sudden hugs and butterfly kisses were acceptable.  It was a little thing, something she shared with Naida and Joseph.  Kai will get hugs but that’s not as often.  And Alec, well, oddly Alec did not fit into this category.  Joseph had brought a gift back from New York for her.  A spring dress from a window.  She’s giggling and telling him thank you.  Leaning over, she kisses his cheek, holding the dress to her chest, as if it was going to be taken away.  There won’t be much of a reaction.  He’s kissed her forehead in the past.  Much like Naida will often do and Xanthe has wondered if their mannerisms have blended together through the years.  “I really like it,” she tells him before running off to try it on immediately.

50. out of love.  

He’s really not sure what he’s doing.It stands to reason, he generally doesn’t know what he’s doing.  And, so far, that has worked in his favor for a great many of things.  But in this particular scenario, he’s consciously aware of the fact.  It could be blamed on instinct but he’d rather not think about it that way.  After all, he’s never instinctively kissed her before.  And, well, that would be a nice, that is not the case at all.Instead, it could be chalked up to one decision that could have been avoided by all means necessary.  But it isn’t.  Because as they lay on the roof, the light reflects that violet hue on her skin, he thinks how come he’s never actually kissed her before.  In all their time spent together, he’s made sure that was the line he’s never crossed.  In all honesty, he knows it’s because he would not be able to bear that type of rejection---her rejection.  Or even her acceptance, because of Xan’s interests, well, they don’t quite last long.  And he couldn’t deal with that. So he kisses her cheek, as she talking about the constellation Andromeda for the hundredth time, telling him it actually looks different from her home planet and it’s part of another constellation.  It’s somewhere near the corner of her mouth and he has to withdraw himself, folding his hands upon his chest and look back to the stares.  “It’s a sad story,” he murmurs, ignoring how she had stopped talking.  “Andromeda’s, that is.”(Later, she kisses his cheek in return and he’s sure she thinks it might become a thing between them.  He wishes he could tell her that it’s not.  He’d be careful because he almost captured her lips and he would have lingered.  So, yes, mistakes are mistakes.  And thus far, it’s worked out.  But for this---well.  He just let his self-control slip, perhaps.)
