I tried to do some extremoth runs, i only have nightmares now.

4 Friends, 1 Extreme Behemoth. (Part 2)

Caden grabbed his Wyvern Ignition build & headed down to greet his friends in the third area. Behemoth was in the Volcanic Zone.

Upon arriving, he saw Behemoth perform a Geyser Punch on Thomas but he I-Framed dodged it perfectly. Caitlyn was performing Aerial Attacks on it's tail & finally managed to sever it. "YES! This just got so much easier!" She said with excitement. That excitement soon faded however when Behemoth pinned her to the ground, grabbing her in it's fist, slammed her repeatedly & threw her against a wall. She then gained the Behemoth's Enmity when she shouldn't have. "HAAAAALP!" She yelled. Acting quickly, JD threw a Flash Pod & canceled the Enmity to which he then proceeded to heal her Bleed Blight & use a Mega Potion.

The Quartet continued to do their best in damaging the Behemoth. Attacks were dodged, TCSes & SAEDs were landed, songs were played & items were used all while the timer kept ticking. They were on pace to pass the check.

And pass it they did. After a few minutes, the Behemoth made haste towards the final area; The Hottest & Most Dangerous Room in the Elder's Recess without casting Ecliptic Meteor. Thomas assessed the situation. "Whew. Alright. You guys remember what to do for this phase, right?" Caden & JD confirmed. "Yyyyyep!" "Already restocking."

Caitlyn & Thomas went back to camp as well. Phase 4 was gonna be ruthless. They wanted to eat another meal & also restock as well. Caden switched back to his Gunlance Tank set.

The group headed down into the lava pit. On the way, Thomas explained "Enmity is more crucial than ever in this phase. We cannot have it constantly casting Charybdis in an area with lava geysers. As for JD, I don't recommend engaging with Behemoth at all in this phase. We need you to have full focus on Healing & Buffing us so just stay far away from Behemoth." JD Was eager to agree. "You don't need to tell me twice." Thomas continued. "Caitlyn... Whatever you do... Do NOT try to mount Behemoth in this phase. It'll only summon one Comet per each of the three Ecliptic Meteors that it casts in this phase. If we exceed two Ecliptic Meteor thresholds then we'll be forced to jump one of them which I'm doubtful that you know the timing. Just stick to ground combos."

Everyone understood the plan. They arrived in the final area & Behemoth immediately started casting Charybdis without hesitation. Thomas lead it off to side because he anticipated the spell. Behemoth charged shoulder first across the zone & bulldozed everyone over. One of those people was JD who couldn't immediately heal everybody. Unfortunately, Behemoth instantly followed up with a paw slam & shoulder check. Caden was able to block it but JD was sent back to camp on a cart. "F***!!!!" He cursed at the screen. Their Support was absent for the time being. Meanwhile, Caden was luckily able to gain the Behemoth's Enmity. "Okay. I'll hold him right here. Beat it's stupid face in or something!" Thomas unloaded another SAED & said "Just one problem. If he summons a Comet on you, we won't be able to hide behind it because you're at an edge." Caden sheathed his Gunlance. "Shoot..." He said bluntly as he started running towards the middle of the zone. Just in time to because Behemoth summoned a Comet right on top of him just then. He avoided placing it directly in the middle but wasn't foolish enough to place it to far off to the side either. Thomas unloaded one more SAED causing Behemoth to flinch. He then said "I think it's gonna happen right now." Caden replied with "Wait... Where's JD?"

JD Was halfway through the tunnel & his heart sank when he read the ominous text on the right side of the screen. *The Behemoth is casting Ecliptic Meteor*

"NO! I REFUSE TO CART TWICE TO THIS S****!" He said angrily as he quickly ran back to the previous zone. JD Saw the bright red flash & quaking impact emanate from the pit. The other three were protected by the Comet. Behemoth instantly followed up with a Geyser Punch as JD re-entered the zone to re-apply the Attack & Defense buffs as well as spam Mega Potions.

Thomas & Caitlyn let loose on it's soft arms. Caitlyn Paralyzed Behemoth once again. "I'm gonna really try to get another KO." Thomas said as he discharged as many Phials into Behemoth's head as he could. As soon as the Paralysis subsided, the KO took effect & the four of them showed Behemoth no mercy. "Beat his arms. Beat his f***ing arms in! Put a hole in his arms, Gog Damnit!" Behemoth got up & summoned a Comet on Caitlyn. She was already in a good spot so she didn't need to move much.

Behemoth started casting the 2nd Ecliptic Meteor. The Comet was right next to it so the team was already in position. "I'm shaking so much now." Caitlyn said looking noticeably stressed. Thomas reassured her that everything was gonna be okay. "We're almost there. Just one more."

After the explosion went off, Behemoth followed up with a paw slam which caught Thomas completely off guard & one shotted him. "OH MY GOD!!! STOP!" He yelled at the screen frustrated with such a surprising cart as everyone else dispersed. Only one faint remained. It was gonna be close.

Caden regained the Enmity for the last time. Until Thomas got back, Caitlyn was the only one doing significant damage. "Focus, Guys. We can't afford to to lose this now. We've come this far." JD said. Thomas re-entered the zone & went crazy with his Temporal & Rocksteady Mantles. He unloaded SAED after SAED with no letup. "Die! JUST DIE!! COME OOOOON!" He yelled furiously.

Behemoth summoned the final Comet on JD. Unfortunately, he was too close to the center & thus accidentally placed it in a bad spot. And then... Disaster struck. Behemoth comboed spins into punches into slams all in one spot shattering the final Comet.

In a panic, Thomas said "Alright! It's come down this. Just Farcaster out. I'll finish the last of his health & jump. I can time it. It's not worth everyone attempting this jump by themselves." They all agreed that this was the best course of action & let Thomas do the rest.

One more SAED later & it was time. Thomas & Behemoth were alone. There were no Comets. The Behemoth stood up to begin the cast. They both silently stared at each other in this final moment. Thomas's thumb was ready. All he needed to do was press the button at just the right time.

A second after Behemoth casted the Ecliptic Meteor, he went for it. Thomas rocketed towards the sky. The blast wave blew across the zone.

Everyone was silent.

...

He did it.

Thomas careened back down to the ground & crashed onto it's head putting the final nail in the coffin as the Behemoth dropped dead.

*Final Fantasy Fanfare Plays*

Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief. It was over. The struggle, the time investment, the blood, the sweat & the tears finally paid off. They were victorious.

The others came back down to carve as they conversed with each other. Caden said "So... Can we agree to never do this quest again?" JD, Caitlyn & Thomas all responded "Yep." "Totally agree." "Yeah. We're definitely good. And now we all celebrate with Layered Drachen Armor!"

4 Friends, 1 Extreme Behemoth. (Part 1)

I'm the only person in my Social Group who has the ability to play Monster Hunter World. This fic is a form of venting my frustrations to make me feel better about not being able to play World with them.

Our Heroes arrive in the Elder's Recess & are greeted by the Serious Handler who says "You're not gonna believe this but this Behemoth is even stronger than the last one you fought." Thomas nonchalantly replied. "Huh... You don't say."

Everyone sat down at the Canteen to eat for Attack Up (L). They only had 30 minutes which meant that Maximum DPS was essential for victory. While they ran down to the starting area, JD buffed everyone with Mega Demondrug, Mega Armorskin, Might Seed, Adamant Seed, Demon Powder, Hardshell Powder & Dash Juice. They were ready to go.

Caden lead the charge. He knew that he could gain the Behemoth's Enmity right off the bat with a Wyrmstake from the Kjarr Buster "Bomber". It was made easier with the Maxed Out Earplugs skill. The Behemoth roared as Wyrmstake stuck to it's face & exploded. Behemoth first summoned a Comet as it normally does at the start of Phase 1 then Caden immediately gained it's Enmity after the Comet had landed.

"Off to a great start!" Thomas said as he started building up Phials for his Taroth Strongarm "Horn". Caitlyn gathered her extracts with the Kjarr Glaive "Paralysis". JD used his Deep Vero to play Attack & Defense Up (XL). The team was as prepared as they could possibly be.

Behemoth's paw kept slapping against Caden's shield with light clinking sounds as he fired shell after shell into it's face. Thomas unloaded a meaty SAED into Behemoth's body causing it to flinch. Caitlyn Paralyzed it with her Glaive giving Thomas free range to build up more easy Phials & let JD go for the head to attempt a KO. Thomas's Phials contributed to his efforts & sent Behemoth crashing to the ground, dazed & flailing.

After several seconds of heavy damage, the Behemoth got up only to have two giant crystals dropped onto it which chunked it's health even more. Surprised, Thomas said "Holy Crap!! Why is this run going so well? Behemoth has barely gotten to do anything. Have we finally found the perfect match up?" Caden replied with "Yeah. This is unfair for Behemoth. I can't believe we're doing this good right now."

It wasn't long before Behemoth summoned the 2nd Comet. The Map Ring turned white. It was time. "Alright! Everybody book it!" Thomas exclaimed as the camera zoomed out & Behemoth slowly stood up on it's hind legs. The entire area glowed bright red as our heroes ran towards the nearest Comet as fast as possible. A portal opened up & a large volatile rock dropped to the ground. A massive explosion engulfed the area & shattered the Comets instantly. Our hunters remained safe as they watched Behemoth make a mad dash for the next area. While chasing the Behemoth, Thomas said "We may have kicked it's ass in Phase 1... But Phase 2 might not go as well." JD replied with "Yeah. And Caden has to regain the Enmity. Good Luck with that." All Caden could do was groan.

They entered the 2nd area & Behemoth immediately started casting Charybdis on Thomas. He made haste & brought it to a wall where it wouldn't bother them. Behemoth leaped across the area & slammed Caitlyn doing most of her health. JD was quick with Wide Range & chugged two Mega Potions to fully heal her. Behemoth casted Charybdis again but this time on Caitlyn. Unfortunately, she was stunned from the previous attack & was unable to move the tornado. Charybdis was now obscuring part of the zone. "ARGH! Come on! Quit moving your head so much!" Caden shouted at Behemoth still trying to gain Enmity. Behemoth casted several Meteors on everybody & zapped them with many Thunderbolts. JD kept buffing & healing to the best of his ability but without Enmity, they had no control over the battle.

Suddenly, Caitlyn landed a mount. She knew the exploit. If she prolonged the mount as much as possible, they could get through this phase with little effort. "Weeeee~!" Caitlyn said being her cute gleeful self. Overtime, JD replenished her stamina with Dash Juice, Thomas kept unloading SAEDs & Caden spammed shells relentlessly.

Eventually, the Behemoth was knocked over & the Quartet went crazy on it's weak points. It's deep beastly growls sent chills down their spines while it struggled to get up. When it did stand back up, the map turned white & the Behemoth dropped two Comets back to back. Thomas was surprised once again. "Whoa! We did that much damage during the mount? That's awesome! Now let's get moving!" They had more than enough time to reach a Comet. So much time in fact that Thomas put his arm around Caitlyn & said "Look, Honey! Fireworks!" The Ecliptic Meteor dropped & Caitlyn replied with "Ooooh~ So pretty~" The explosion went off as Thomas said "You're prettier~" Caitlyn giggled as they ran off to start the 2nd half of the fight. Caden decided to run to camp & change to a more damage oriented set. Tanks aren't that helpful in Phase 3 specifically.

The DPS Check Timer has started. They have 5 minutes. Will Our Heroes pass this test?
