what can I say about her. she's insane. she's a girlboss. she caused the end of the world. she didn't. her hair is blue. her color scheme is gold. she fell in love with a fey. she divorced a fey. she fell in love with a fey. she's breaking the glass ceiling (between the gods and the mortals). she IS laerryn coramar-seelie.
"why do we tell stories? it's to try to make sense of a world that is enormous and terrifying"
What struck me about Laerynn's reasons for wanting to plane shift Avalir (other than blind ambition and hubris) was what she kept saying towards the end of the episode
"It has to be worth it"
Because it has to be worth it to have effectively ended Evandrin's life and taken Zerxus' husband and Elias' father away from them
It has to be worth it that she ruined her marriage to Quay even though they still love each other
She can't go back now because if she does it'll all have been for nothing, all the loss, all the time and effort
And I think at the end, that emotion, that desperation, is what drove her to continue pursuing her goals till the very end, not that she wanted to plane shift the city that badly
that was so beautiful BRENNAN
breNNAN SHAKES HIM BY THE SHOULDERS
"there is no god that strides this world that I worship more than i worship your heart"
brennan and travis fuck you you brilliant bastard storytellers i'm sobbing
