Leave room for Asmodeus....
(based on that one "Me. My girlfriend. And her four foot tall 500 dollar mareep." meme)
There is no god that strides this world that I worship more than I worship your heart.
BONUS:
zerxus’ passionate speech about his husband’s son, “I have a son that’s not of my blood but that is my son. I met evandrin when he was just an infant, and I held that boy in my arms and I fell in love with him. I am his father.” has,,, fundamentally changed me as a person
zerxus and evandrin...
godless paladins who worship only each other, who believe only in each other, doomed to be apart forever
i'm fucking RUINED
I cannot take this Evandrin was reunited with his husband only to see him turned into a fiend and bound to the father of lies, Elias saw his dad after seven goddamn years to find him changed and broken and still loving him fiercely and too late to bridge the gap between them, the world is broken and sundered and Elias is shipwrecked with his father in the astral sea with no way to a home that doesn't exist anymore and Zerxus is serving his eternal sentence for literally breaking the world by believing and loving too much and they STILL all vow they will find each other and I will never see what happens to them I cannot TAKE THIS
rewatching zerxus’ dream from the first episode of calamity knowing everything that has happened and will happen makes it EVEN MORE INSANE
I still have a lot of thoughts about THAT SCENE but not a lot of time to put them together into coherent sentences at the moment, but I do have one other thing I wanna say.
I think the reporter, Elena, was fired because she was getting too close to some real info about Evandrin and not for whatever bullshit reason Loquatius gave Cerrit. Laerryn did something that somehow led to Evandrin’s death, and it’s obvious to me now that it was unintentional, but to Zerxus in the moment, that may not matter. He’s clearly still not fully dealt with it, especially with how angry he seems at the fact that he believes that someone in the city could have saved him, and I think Laerryn is afraid of what he’d do, and Loquatius is 100% protecting her.
“Laerryn: another First Knight of Avelir, in this very chamber, once told you ‘I’m here for you, no matter what you need’.”
