I could draw some of the heartbreaking scenes, but this was the first thing to pop into my brain.

One of the more obvious reasons as to why Zerxus was so dead set on redeeming Asmodeus was because a part of him truly believed that it was Evandrin. But I think another part of it was that Zerxus had the opportunity to redeem the literal Lord of the Nine Hells. Much like Lyraenn's astral leywrite, it would have been monumental to Zerxus.

If he had the power to redeem the Devil, then he had the power to save Evandrin, he would have shown all the mages who couldn't save his husband, that it was possible. That he could do it.

So like how long should I wait before I write a Calamity Time travel fic with Evandrin waking up seven years in the past the day he’s to go to the Celestial Plane, after living with Elais in the astral plane for years, knowing that the calamity is coming for all of Exandria, Avalir, The Ring of Brass, his husband, and he has to find a way to stop it or find a way to save his family. Maybe an older Elias, like late teens early twenties, pops into his 5 year old self’s mind and has to deal with suddenly being a child again with both parents present and with visions of the future flooding his young mind.

(Maybe it’s sadder and Evandrin used time travel because something happened to Elais and with his research into this power beyond the stars he masters Dunamis and thus was able to bend time to his will. )

I just need Evandrin to save Zerxus from Asmodeus and for them to be happy together. Elias deserves both his dads!!! I have so many thoughts on these guys y’all have no idea. That would be a sick idea for a critical role novel; How Evandrin and Elias and some new allies save Zerxus and bring him home to a space among the stars… Among the Stars is a good name.

Hey fun fact, way back in calamity episode one I misheard Brennan when he was talking about the peaceful dream scene with Zerxus, and so I thought his husband was the griffin. It took me until the final episode to go "wait Evandrin is not a griffin is he"
