WHATS MY NAME Ever had issues with tokens? Clones? These cards seem hardly worthwhile in EDH, but against Tribal decks and token decks they can pull rank. Is Maelstrom Pulse too expensive? Well take a look-see. Echoing Decay is a worse Bile Blight and Homing Lightning each provide ways to destroy tokens. Eye of Singularity provides ways to stop more permanents than just creatures. However, these can trigger some tricky death effects like Vengeful Dead or Blood Artist. Plus, they're subject to the creature's toughness, which tribal decks usually pack a decent amount of anthems. Detention Sphere and Sever the Bloodline both exile, which avoids death triggers. Even more useful, Sever the Bloodline has a flashback for emergencies. Echoing Truth bounces, a handy form of Boomerang (without targeting lands) but its one downside is bouncing clone cards isn't as handy. Sometimes your opponent gets all comfy swarming you with tokens all named Soldier or Zombie. These instants (and a few enchantments) provide ways to shake up token decks.
