Thoughts on a glove change? For it? Against it?
Bread and Butter and Jam
Take a second and think about something. Think about the Eiffel Tower. Think about the Gothic Cathedral's in Europe. Think about the Statue of Liberty. All are man-made structures. What else do they have in common? Well I guarantee that all of them are toilets for birds. But aside from that, what else? They're all considered man-made symbols that are beautiful to the human eye. Now think about the processes it took to create these beautiful structures. The timing, the planning. The millions of people who went without bread and butter and jam to build these icons of our civilizations. They're all extremely intricate and complex.
Now think about Niagra Falls. About the Grand Canyon. Or even Mount Everest. I tend to think they're all quite beautiful in terms of scenery. And that they were no walk-in-the-park to be formed either. In terms of scientific belief, it took millions of years for the plates of the Earth together to make such things possible. But then again, believe what you want too. I still think that if God created the mountains and waterfalls, I'm sure they were still pretty damn hard to construct.
Even human beings. Each one of us has our own set judgement on who's beautiful and who isn't, but think about all of the timing and event's and construction it takes for a human being to be made. Think about the human mind, and all of the billions of connections and linkings it has. Think of how complex each and every sex is. I haven't met a girl in my life that doesn't do something that completely boggles my mind and throws me for a loop. And don't think I'm being sexist, because there's quite a few guys that have pretty complex forms of reasoning as well.
My point being, beautiful things take time. No actress achieved the look they have without first spending hours coating on make up. No person with a perfect relationship received it nicely wrapped in a box from their aunt Sally. They worked for that shit. It's not something you pick up on the street like a romance movie. You get walked on and smacked around, and often poked in the eye because you give awkward hugs. Pick yourself up and get to work. Beauty is complexity and complexity takes time; and often makes you go without bread and butter and jam.
