Hey, do you know if there's a record somewhere of which version of DE doesn't have the weird little tweaks ZAUM has been adding for the past few months? I got a friend to play it a while back and it kept having little things off, like Fortress Occident becoming Fortress Accident. You seemed like the best person to ask.

Fortress Accident has always been Fortress Accident in-game - Fortress Occident was always only the early RL name of ZA/UM studio, the one they announced No Truce With The Furies with! Afaik the only post-ousting addition was collage mode (the Jamais Vu scenes were released post ousting but they have Hindpere's name on them so the writing predates it). What other things were off? I think you can cross reference anything on fayde which hasn't been updated since Morgue added the translations. I'm not aware of any text changes in the game itself, just a couple new languages, bug fixes, new bugs, fixing the new bugs, introducing some more...

Anyway I've never gone looking for older builds but if anyone here has a link...!

While as a Jon enjoyer i feel inclined to poke at the bits of Spamton's story that mirror his, I'm also forced to acknowledge that Spamton and Swatch's weird petty back-and-forth (Spamton steals Swatch's glasses look, Swatch sells his bowties, Spamton covers Swatch's face Extra in the trailer, etc. etc.) is. Very lonelyeyes-core

If we're talking music, my god do the repeating ringing sounds in Spamton's battle themes get disconcerting once you know the full context of his backstory. It's like he's haunted or something, worse still with the "now's your chance to now's your chance to--" mantra running under the ringing like he's muttering it under his breath

God, yeah. At the same time, it's plausible he's talking to Kris as much as he's talking to himself, considering (1) how much he projects onto them and (2) how he needs them to "be big with him". I'd attribute it in equal parts to attempted manipulation and genuine self-recognition.
