Can you please do a Kanan x female y/n reader with 13 a where Kanan is stressed and the reader takes care of him by brushing his hair out? Thank you! 💚
OMG OF COURSE.
I didn't know if you wanted pre-Malachor but I think this works better after the events on Malachor.

You didn't need the Force to know he was stressed. Ever since Malachor, he's been different. He says he's fine, but you know he isn't. You would be upset and angry if you were blind. It was a quiet day on The Ghost, until Ezra and Chopper began to argue. Those two arguing had Sabine and Zeb join in and then eventually the entire Ghost crew beside you and Kana were shouting and yelling at each other, Chopper shocking anyone who disagreed with him. You were trying to pilot the ship, the Ghost Crew yelling directly behind you. You thought Hera wouldn't get herself involved; she is the one to defuse the tension.
"Can you all do this somewhere else?!" You shouted over the noise but they ignored you. Sighing, you jumped into hyperspace before turning and facing the group. Before you could say anything, a loud voice beat you.
"STOP!" Kanan yelled, successfully making everyone silent, all beside Chopper who grumbled quietly. "What in the Force has you all yelling?!" He demanded.
"Chopper started it-" Chopper responds back with a 'I did no such thing'.
"Ezra brought everyone else in it-" Sabine started.
"Did not!"
"You told me to support you!"
"You were clearly just picking a fight with Chopper," Zeb said.
"Hey! That's-"
"I didn't come in here for another argument to start!" Kanan snapped again, the group falling silent. "Hera, I thought you wouldn't get involved,"
"I wasn't going to-"
"Don't want to hear it," He growled. "Sabine and Ezra, you two are acting like children, grow up or you can both leave. Rebels are not whiny children!" Kanan hissed. "Zeb, get back to work and stop getting distracted, you're supposed to be setting an example or do I need to dump you on some backwater planet?!"
"No, sorry," Zeb grumbled before walking away, shoulders drooped.
"And Chopper," Kanan looked down at the droid who challenged him back. "Stop starting arguments if you can't win them quick enough,"
"What?!"
"If I say anything rude he'll zap me," Kanan responded before stalking away.
"What about Y/N?!" Ezra hollowed at Kana who stopped walking but didn't turn around.
"Unlike you, she was piloting and not shouting and arguing,"
"How do you know that?!"
"I'm blind, not deaf, now back to work Ezra," The young boy grumbled and crossed his arms over his chest. You watched Kanan walk through The Ghost and you grimaced. He never talks to his crew like that. Something was off.
"I'm going to see what's wrong with him," You say to Hera who smiles and places a hand on your shoulder once you stood up.
"I'm sorry about what happened, I'm surprised you didn't get distracted and managed to pilot the ship," You laugh slightly.
"I had a good teacher," She patted your shoulder before moving to sit in the pilot's seat. Chopper beeped at you and tugged on your clothes. "What's up, Chop?" He beeped and you laughed. "No Chop, I'm not going to do that," He beeps again. "I know that would help him but I want to know the real reason behind his stress," He does a long begging sound. "No, I'm not going to fuck Kanan every time he's stressed," Chopper groans and hits his head against your leg, beeping at you. "No, I'm not a horrible person you're a horrible droid," The surprised sound Chopper made as you sauntered away had you laughing at him. "Hyperdrive isn't working yet, fix it Chop," He sighed heavily before dragging himself across the cockpit and out to fix the hyperdrive. You smiled at him before walking away.

You find him in his room, meditating. You quietly begin to close the door, not wanting to interrupt him.
"(Y/N)," He says, eyes still closed. You cringe before opening the door again and closing it behind you. The room is dim and the mask he wears over his eyes is placed carefully on his desk.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you," You say quietly as you stand awkwardly by the door, wondering if he'll ask you to leave. His eyes open, revealing the pure whiteness.
"You didn't, the others did and I cannot go back to that state of mind," You walk over and sit next to him on the floor.
"Are you okay? You seemed more stressed than your meditation being disrupted. Like, there's something else on your mind," He turns his head slightly in your direction.
"I don't think I was stressed," You let out a hearty laugh.
"Kanan, you've never threatened to kick people of The Ghost let alone shout at Sabine and Ezra, telling them they're not good enough for the rebellion," You sigh softly. "You usually handle those situations better-"
"You're saying that I didn't handle it well? Everyone stopped arguing," He says, leaning against the wall and you copied his actions.
"Well, I'm pretty sure you made Sabine cry," You say. Silence falls over you two. It's not comfortable like it usually is, it's tense and awkward. Finally, after what seems like hours, Kanan sighs and runs his hand down his face.
"If I'm going to be honest, I am SO stressed," He begins. "We keep getting one problem after another, first it was the Inquisitor, then Maul, and now Thrawn is getting closer to finding Chopper Base and it doesn't help that Kallus is Fulcrum and I have no idea if we should trust him. Price is also on our tail and we haven't had proper alone time because whenever we do get that time, Thrawn or something to do with the Empire comes up and of course the Empire paramount's everything," He sighs heavily, bringing his legs up to his chest and resting his head on his knees.
"What would help right now?" You ask after some silence. He slowly lifts his head and turns to face you and he smiles softly.
"You...um...and..." He trails off, shaking his head. "Nevermind,"
"What is it Kanan? Come on, I want to help you,"
"Well, I kind of like it when you run your fingers through my hair...it calms me," You beam at him.
"Well, your hair is in dire need of a brush," You say before taking his hands in yours and pulling him to the bed. He chuckles as you sit him down and grab his brush before kneeling behind him before gently brushing his brown locks.
This time, the silence is welcomed and almost comforting. The only sound is the whir of the engines and the rushing sounds from hyperspace. You slowly ran the comb through his hair, carefully undoing knots when you came across them. It was so peaceful. You finally found yourself relaxing with Kanan; a rare occasion. You used one hand to comb his hand while you used your other hand to run your fingers through his hair or massaging his scalp.
"(Y/N)?" You hummed in response to your name, finished with brushing his hair and placing the comb down beside him. He moved his hand to cover yours and give it a light squeeze. "I love you," He whispers. You smile widely; that's the first time he's confessed that.
"I love you, more than anything," He turned his head to face you. You gently pushed back some of his hair before gingerly tracing his scar across his scar. He stiffened at first but your touch was so comforting to him. He needed it so much. You pull your hand away. "How did the maker give me the most handsome man in the galaxy?" He smiled and turned his body to face yours.
"How did the Force guide me to the most beautiful woman in the galaxy?" He cups your face before bringing your lips to his. The kiss was so sweet, soft and filled with emotions. You carded your fingers through his soft hair, moving to straddle his lap to deepen the kiss. A sealed promise to never lose each other.
