Today’s the last second day in Taiwan and we will be going home tomorrow.

Today’s a laze around day.

Again, didn’t have a good night sleep as our new room this time faces the main street and there were loud noises into the wee hours. I guess if you are a light sleeper or have insomnia problems, try requesting for  room that doesn’t face the main street.

After a restless night on the super hard “bed”, I turned up at the breakfast place like a zoombie. Breakfast was simple and nice with a hot cup of coffee.

When Germ and I decided on this place, it certainly wasn’t the easiest place to book. Like many guesthouses, you have to send in your inquiry for available dates by email. When the confirmation comes through and the room has been reserved for you, you have to make payment via PayPal through a link they send you. I wrote in using traditional chinese.

The room rate comes with breakfast. The owners gave us muffins in the late afternoon right after our check in. We spent some time to look around before heading out to Luodong Night Market.

All the lovely decorations found around the lodge are bought by the lodge owners on their overseas trips.

  Now it is much easier — you can make reservation online. but the booking site is only in chinese :) so you still need someone to check and put in the information for you if you can’t read chinese. If you are comfortable to speak in mandarin, you can even call ms Yang or mr Xu directly –

  For some reason, I was always the first one to shower at night. To my horror, there was a huge flying bug in the bathroom! Almost ran out naked >_< I saw it flew around for a bit and then it went into hiding. When I told Germ about it after my quicker than quick shower, she dare not go in. So we got the lodge owners to come and be pest buster. The man came in armed with insecticide and newspaper. But in the end he caught it with a bath towel, haha! That was our little episode at the lodge.
