SM Entertainment clarifies that f(x) Krystal's contract will expire by the end of August, currently in talks for a contract renewal  ||  KV

SM Entertainment gives a statement regarding f(x) Krystal's contract. On the morning of August 18th, it has been reported by different Korean news outlets that Actress and f(x) member Krystal Jung's exclusive contract with SM Entertainment had expired, and she will be parting ways with the company after being with them for 10 long years. However, SM Entertainment refute such claims. A representative from SM Entertainment said on the same day, "The exclusive contract of Krystal Jung with SM Entertainment will expire at the end of August. We will continue to discuss the possible renewal of contracts with Krystal." While the renewal of contracts is still up for discussions, it is being said that Krystal is also in contacts with other top agencies in the industry. According to multiple entertainment industry officials on the morning of August 18th, f(x) member and notable Actress Krystal Jung have decided to part ways with SM Entertainment, after being with the company for 10 long years.

It is said that Krystal is now looking for a new agency to join for a fresh start in her career. It has been shared that the idol star/Actress is looking for a company who can support her future activities and promotions as an active member of f(x), as well as her promotions for being an actress also.

It is also said that Krystal is currently working on her solo album, and she is planning to release it soon.
