She should have stayed home. She should’ve called into the shelter sick or at least come for the afternoon session instead, anything to get out of the situation she was now confronted with. Under any other circumstance Gigi would have been high as a kite, either from cocaine or another odd pill she’d scurried for through her dresser drawers. However, volunteering at the local pet shelter was something that made her feel a little more than dead; more than wanting to be dead. Staring into the clinical room, the brunette looked straight at Finn not caring in the slightest if he noticed her unpleasant features in response to his presence. “Why are you here?” Was all she managed to spit out before making her way over to one of her favorite kittens that had yet to be adopted out. Taking the grey and champagne tabby out of its cage, Gigi felt the slightest bit at ease with the situation however at the same time completely vulnerable.
