Omg yes I got some tea on Kimi recently 🤍 so apparently she genuinely didn’t know much going into it and couldn’t really compare him to other people because she isn’t super experienced herself. She’s European and wanted to stay anonymous so I’m respecting that because honestly she was nice enough to share her experience with me and I don’t want to put her on blast. Plus she’s gorgeous and has a pretty solid Instagram following so I’m not trying to create drama for her. From what she told me there were no red flags, no weird behavior, nothing that made her uncomfortable. Everything was completely mutual and respectful which, let’s be honest, is already better than some of the stories I’ve heard about other athletes. She said he was very affectionate, loved kissing, was expressive, and wasn’t afraid to give compliments. Apparently he’s also the type to be vocal rather than completely silent which she liked. She didn’t tell me anything about his size and honestly I didn’t ask because that’s not really my business 😭 but she did say she had a good time overall and didn’t have any complaints. No horror stories, no “never again” energy, none of that. Just a positive experience between two people who were both into each other. So as of right now the Kimi tea is actually surprisingly wholesome. Nothing on Liam tho. I do know that Lewis, Carlos, and another players has hefty ads ndas. They’re active but we’ll get no tea 😭

in the midst of all my joy about lewis’ comeback yesterday, i saw a couple posts that were something to the affect of ‘i’m disappointed that lewis would choose to give up so easily. that’s not the lewis we know’ etc etc. and i’m not trying to start drama, but it’s like. girl (gn) what.

first of all, a lot of shit gets said in the heat of the moment. lewis was excited to race this weekend, the hit with kmag clearly came as a shock. he ended up having to pit, was in no man’s land, and even after the pit-stop, still said the car ‘didn’t feel right’. add this to the rocky start to the season mercedes has had, and imo it makes perfect sense that in the moment, lewis thought it made be better to retire the car, rather than try and drag a damaged vehicle across the finish line.

and if you want to be disappointed by a driver having an emotional, gut-reaction during a race? fine. but it still doesn’t make sense. because when his team said ‘no, we think you can try for a P8 finish’ lewis literally put pedal to the metal and drove his damaged car to fourth, moving up fifteen (!!) places in the process. he shook himself out of that headspace and showed us exactly why he‘s been and while stay at the top all these years. also, this is why drivers have teams. people who can give them the data that they as drivers don’t have.

maybe the reason this comment got to me was that at least one of the users was white. and maybe it just reminded me that as PoC, we don’t always get the luxury of having a bad day, or an emotional moment. why does lewis have to be positive all the time? why should anyone? especially during this season, perhaps the worst season to have this kind of bad luck happening to him.

anyways, sorry this got so long. i just cannot stand the thought that anyone could look at lewis’ performance yesterday and be disappointed. even the best of the best feel low sometimes. that’s normal. and if anyone has ‘earned’ that right, it’s lewis. thanks for your time, have a lovely day 💝

honestly, i was going to rage-quit watching the race after the kmag incident. i only stayed because george was doing well, but oh man am i glad i stayed. lewis raced beautifully, and that too with a damaged car. it was amazing. he showed us why he's the GOAT.

but here's the thing, see. he's got this expectation on him to be perfect ALL THE TIME, which is massively unfair. yeah i get it, he's a role model and an inspiration to all of us, and his endless optimism and faith do help a lot of people. but he's just human. he's allowed to be angry and upset. he's allowed to feel bad.

i remember at miami when lewis was annoyed that his team was expecting him to come up with his own pit stop strategy and he said so in the after-race interview. he didn't even say anything harsh or rude. he just said "that's your job because you have the data, not me." and people blew it out of proportion, saying he was angry, that he was whining, that he was being horrible to his team, all sorts of shit. he's not even allowed to say that much now? why must he always be Classy and Perfect and Gracious?

don't get me wrong, he is. he's absolutely one of the classiest people on that grid and he's gracious in defeat even when he's disappointed (which is absolutely understandable especially after last season). but that doesn't mean he's never allowed to be upset or angry. of course he was upset his car got damaged right in the beginning of the race. and honestly he started the race at p6, p8 was not a great prediction. but when bono said it, lewis put his absolute everything into going for it. and what a drive it was. p19 to p4! tell me that's not the sexiest shit you've seen this season. he only dropped to p5 due to a car problem, not even his own mistake or anything. it was beautiful the way he drove.

honestly anon i'd say ignore all these people. it's unfair to expect constant perfection from anyone, that's just setting people up to fail (in their eyes). he's human and he's not having the season he expected or hoped for, and this is right after the absolute shitshow that was last year's title clincher. he's working so hard to do his absolute best and i can't imagine how frustrating it must be to not have the car he needs for it. but he's giving it all he has, and he's allowed to be annoyed or upset about it all. i know we love to see him happy and smiling and laughing, but it's bizarre as fuck to expect it from him 24/7 just so we feel better. he's a whole person he's not a fictional character or a paper doll that should be exactly the way the fans want him to be. part of loving someone and supporting them means giving them the space to express their emotions in whatever way they need to. lewis already restrains himself a lot. it's stupid to think he should always be chipper and optimistic even when things aren't going his way. let him feel whatever he's feeling, he has a right to it.
