Halloween in Castleport for the second year in a row, it was certainly not ideal, but at least thus far it wasn’t as morbid as last Halloween. Well, unless you counted Rachel’s death, but Ryder was trying not to think about that unless he had to. Maybe that was why he felt so on edge all the time, like at any minute he was just going to randomly burst out into tears, he just prayed it wouldn’t be here at the Maggie. He made his rounds, chitchatted about football because that seemed to be what people wanted to talk to him the most about now as the season was starting to gain traction. Spotting Sam in the distance, he made eyes at him as if calling out for help from the person currently chatting his ear off. Hopefully he got the hint, because at this point, he felt like he was about to lose his mind.
