Pardo's Push
During the Vietnam War, one damaged American F-4 Phantom fighter assisted another damaged F-4 by resting the 2nd aircraft's tail hook onto its own cockpit glass. This maneuver pushed the 2nd aircraft to a safer location before both crews bailed out and were rescued the next day.
This wasn't included in the instruction manual...
