i really love how from the ground up tachibana's journey of transing her gender is all about the joy she felt from gender euphoria. like, yes, dysphoria does often heavily precede such feelings, many people know when theyre kids that theyd rather be a different gender, all that stuff. but some people, if you asked they probably wouldnt say theyre unhappy with their assignment, maybe ambivalent or theyve just never thought about it.* tachibana reads that way to me.

from when she first realizes how powerful she feels being cute, instantly gaining this newfound sense of confidence (she seemed pretty down on herself back at that mixer, even before getting sloshed), to having fun trying on outfits with the maids, to starting to question whether she really wants to undo this transformation. theres so many incidents that keep piling up.

when her body transforms back to man, specifically retaining her "peerless beauty" perk to really help drive home that its not just that she likes the attention from being attractive in general, she realizes that manhood just doesnt suit her anymore. she misses all the aforementioned things she liked about being a woman. with excellent supporting words from various side characters, she finally approaches jinguuji about this...

and she specifically talks about how she cant go back to a time where she didnt know this gender euphoria, and how shes gotta do what makes her happy here bc she deserves to be. even in the face of concern for how her best friend will take it, she ultimately decides to take life by the horns and pursue her own happiness.
