C - Crushing on? - I don’t get a lot of irl crushes, but I’ve been 120% in love with the same person unrequitedly for almost seven years now

U - Umbrella colour? - My aunt gave me a pink Victoria’s Secret umbrella that I keep in my car that is actually super awesome and big and wonderful. I also have a Jonas Brothers umbrella in my car that I got from the dollar spot in Target in like 2009

T - Time you woke up? - My alarm goes off shortly before 9am most days in the summer so that’s when I got up today. I took a two hour nap this afternoon too which was lovely

E - Easiest person to talk to? - I have a few awesome friends that are very easy to talk to. My bestest best friend is probably at the top of that list because we understand each other on a level that others don’t really

Y - Your last time you cried? - This is SO EMBARRASSING but I went to a Shania Twain concert last night and I cried when she sang From this Moment On

I was tagged by the lovely  jillypups to write down 5 Things that make me happy. So, let’s go!

1. Being underwater. Seriously: if I’m stressed or angry or sad, I just have to fill a bathtub and submerge for a while to feel better. In slightly scarier news, I get so calm underwater that I feel like I can/should take a nap.

2. Being in the same room as friends. Let me sit in your house and tumblr/write/read, and I will be the happiest camper.

3. Getting messages from people in any way/shape/form. It just makes me ecstatic. Paired with this is when people tell me I’m good at things.

4. Breathing in clean air. Southern California is not so great at providing this, but as someone with asthma, clean air is a godsend.

5. Reading a really good book. If you write a story that makes me stay up until 3 in the morning, there’s a good chance I’m in love with you. (Looking at you, jillypups)

Dear ex bestfriend, gogogogogo

Dear ex-best friend,

So I don't really know what happened.  We were best friends in 7th grade.  You were one of my only friends in 7th grade, really.  I was 12 and awkward and you were my partner-in-crime in everything ever.  You were the only person I invited to my birthday because you were the only person I could invite.  We were mutually obsessed with the Warriors series and animals and you never made fun of my geekiness ever.  We stuck by each other in PE and lunch and after school waiting for our parents.  You were the only friend whose house I went to in junior high.  I thought we would be best friends forever because I couldn't imagine life turning out any other way.  

We drifted in 8th grade.  We didn't have any classes.  We ran in different social circles.  You started wearing makeup and I was still in my anti-makeup phase.  I got the feeling that your mom didn't like me all that much.  I was 13 and angry at having to move to Taiwan and angry at everything.  I was angry at you for changing into someone I couldn't talk to so easily anymore.  I was angry at you because I thought you left me behind.

We sort of made up by the end of the school year, I guess.  You called me and I called you and we got things sorted out.  I explained my resentment and you apologized and I apologized too for being so judgmental.  We were friends again.

We emailed in 9th grade.  Not often, maybe once or twice a month, but it was all good.  You kept me updated, and I told you what school was like in Taiwan, all the way across the pacific.

You stopped replying to my emails.  I forget when.  I sent you a Christmas email in 10th grade and you never sent an email back.  I suppose you just changed your email to something more grown-up, but you never told me what it was, so I didn't have a way of contacting you.  I tried adding you on Facebook, but you never added me back.  I tried adding you like five times.

I don't know why you stopped talking to me.

I get to nap, read, and listen to music for long periods of time with no need for human interaction?! Hell yeah!
