It is now summer break from college, and what did i decide to do? BABY CLASS AU FOR FABLE SMP! Aka icarus finds a random 10 year old who, uh oh, ended up getting born with a fragment of the power of creation after fable got murked since it didnt go to icarus. What could go wrong?! Will i write a fanfiction? Maybe! 😶

Fable anniversary so obviously I need to sappy post about it. Fable was one of the first fandoms I ever really dove headfirst into— I wasn’t new to fandoms (thank you marvel and dc o7), but with how small and intimate Fable was, it felt different from every other fandom I’d been in, in the absolute best way. Fable has been such a big part of my life, even after it ended. All my friends and family know about it, I have two Fable-themed tattoos, and I’m almost a full year into working on this goddamn (/pos) needlepoint. 

The first Fable stream I ever watched was the Halloween party, when Athena pressed the button. I had no idea what I was getting into, but that was my first taste of Fable and I was hooked. I vividly remember watching the “going to the stronghold” stream on my second browse while on a zoom class taking a physics test (and yes I passed the test thank you very much), pretending my camera was broken so my teacher wouldn’t see me reacting to the stream lol.

Fable was also extremely important to me for queer and neurodivergent rep. Growing up in a small farm town in buttfuck nowhere, there was literally nobody like me. I was the only queer kid in school, and one of maybe 15 neurodivergent students. That’s isolating as hell. But with Fable, I was able to find my niche and feel comfortable exploring who and what I am. I have no idea how long it would’ve taken me to realize, but it would’ve been a lot longer without Fable.

TLDR: Fable has been, without a doubt, the most important fandom I’ve ever been in. It’s sappy and cheesy, but it’s true— I would not be who I am today without Fable, so thank you to all of the cast for creating something so beautiful, and thank you to all of the community members for being so welcoming.
