Tsumami kanzashi month. Day 6 - Wind Fukiyose is a name for a motif which shows autumn leaves drifting away with the wind, such as pine needles, ginkgo leaves, pine cone, maple leaves etc. Sometimes this pattern also includes flowers. This pattern is predominantly worn in autumn, yet if flowers are included, the seasonality expands to the flower's season (for example, if ume is added, it can be worn in early spring) I've decided on golden swirls to represent wind. Remember the Suffolk Puffs/YoYo's, well there are two projects going on with these and the first is fabric brooches and the second is still wip but you'll have to wait and see! I had to go to the dark side of my foam boards to photograph these as the netting wasn't showing up on the white side. Week 30 of the tag challenge by @hannemadebyanne is "make a brooch" and here is mine! During lockdown and while I have no craft events to attend I have been making new stock and trying my hand at some new techniques and projects.
