my current hygeine routine⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🫧💕
as a girl who takes her hygeine super seriously and spends her free time pampering herself, here's my hygeine routine as of right now including products and how i use them...💬🎀
IN SHOWER ;
i use a really yummy vanilla bodywash in the shower that i bought from marshalls, it has argan oil in it which is really good for deeply moisturizing my skin, and improving the elasticity of my skin.
on days when im double cleansing i like to use the panoxyl 10% benzoyl peroxide wash. if ur a girlie who struggles with body acne i highly recommend this. i used to struggle with it a lot and this is what worked really well for me. i leave it on for 1-2 minutes before washing it off.
some other bodywashes that i love to use include the kwailnara strawberry milk body wash + lotion, i get that from tj maxx and i use it when im in the mood to smell like strawberries and cream. i also love the glycolic acid naturium body wash, it's SUPER good.
OUT OF THE SHOWER ;
on STILL WET SKIN i apply my vanilla cream body oil from sweetheart bodycare. i apply this on wet skin so that it locks in the moisture, then i go in with my palmer's shea butter body lotion. this is LITERALLY the hack if u want soft skin, apply ur lotions onto wet skin.
BEFORE MY SHOWER ;
i love dry brushing because it removes dead skin cells and improves circulation... but mostly bcuz it just makes me super super soft. it also improves cellulite. also sometimes i do more extra before shower routines but that depends on the day honestly, currently here's the program.
MY WEEKLY PROGRAM ;
mondays - i use my coffee scrub to exfoliate my skin. coffee is so good for tightening the skin and keeping it plump + elastic. and then i do my panoxyl wash before going in with my reg body wash, just to start off my week EXTRA squeaky.
tuesdays - i use a glycolic acid toner on my skin AFTER my showers, i just find that it leaves me so SOFT and it's a way for me to kind of treat my skin. i also use a body oil on my body specifically for cellulite and stretch marks (vitamin E oil). i also use an undereye mask that has retinol in it and i use teeth whitening strips (i love the guru nanda ones) i got a 32 pack for like $16 at marshalls.
and then my bodycare is pretty consistent it's like one day panoxyl deep clean and the other glycolic acid. but here are some other things i do for my hygeine during the week.
wednesdays - i like to do the aztec clay mask on my face but also on my underarms about 2x a week. typically to keep my underarms bright i use the esponja sabon soap, i honestly use that to treat hyperpigmentation anywhere on my body (underarms, knees, elbows, 🐱) but on my underarms is rly good. and i also use glycolic acid under my arms as well but i find that the aztec clay mask RLY helps. i also use it for my skin cuz its just so amazing and awesome and helps w your pores.
thursdays - i love to do pre-shampoo oiling on my hair with some biotin/castor oil. i just take some, rub it on my hands until its coated from my finger tips to the bottom of my palms, then gently comb my fingers through my hair starting and jaw length and going down. i also use my FINO hair mask in the shower and im loving the dove shampoo and conditioner bcuz it makes my hair SO soft and smell SO good.
fridays - again with an exfoliating scrub in the shower and a good sheet mask. something to hydrate my skin and keep it juicy and PLUMP. i like to use sheet masks after the aztec clay mask bcuz it kinda makes ur skin a little bit dry so the sheet mask restores that moisture.
SKINCARE ;
i use the cetaphil gentle cleansing wash, this wash is SO solid and im literally loving it so much. i also use the cetaphil moisturizer, and i use the beauty of josen sunscreen it's literally my holy grail. i use niacinamide serum in the morning + night bcuz my skin can handle it and that's all i rly do. sometimes if i wanna exfoliate i'll use the ordinary chemical exfoliator which i'll typically do 1x a week if i REMEMBER.
FOR MY FEET ;
now for my feet every evening in my shower i EXFOLIATE my heels and i slug my feet every other night. i also get regular pedicures to keep my feet super pretty and princessy. also as an athlete i'm rly careful to dry in between every single toe and crevice bcuz athlete's foot is NOT pretty. french tips are my GO-tos but sometimes i like to switch it up and get pink/white.
THINGS TO ALWAYS REMEMBER ;
clean your ears + belly button. i like to just take a cotton pad and some micellar water and clean behind my ears. but for my belly button i just use a q-tip dipped in some water bcuz it's a bit sensitive.
now for often i shower, i LIKE to shower two times a day but sometimes im too busy or that just doesn't happen and when that happens i shower once a day. i don't judge anyone who showers once a day or 2-3 times a day, it's literally what works for you. i think as long as u shower once a day you should be okay but i aim for 2.
MY ORAL HYGEINE ;
teeth whitening strips once a week SPECIFICALLY the guru nanda ones. i only use those because the crest ones always make my teeth feel SO sensitive and almost leaves my mouth feeling chemical. with guru nanda i never experience any of that which is why it's my go to, it's also SUPER effective. i oil pull with raw coconut oil once a week, usually on mondays. i brush my teeth and floss twice a day, i also tongue scrape twice a day. i use the therabreath mouthwash everyday twice a day as well.
FOR MY KITTY ;
i bought this electric shaver from tiktok shop and ever since i've been using it, it's been SO easy to keep up with myself without having to deal with razor bumps or nicks, and i never cut myself! usually i always wash with a little bit of water but after going through my period i like to use the equate feminine wash bcuz it has no scent at all and it leaves me feeling squeaky. that's the only time i ever really use feminine wash though because i feel clean using just water.
ON A MONTHLY BASIS ;
every other sunday is my maintenance day where i do my SUPERR over the top beauty regimen. which consists of.
apply hair mask to ur hair
micellar water/toner pads on ur skin
cleanser
clay mask
brush teeth with a bit of baking soda to whiten
floss and use mouthwash
ordinary red chemical serum on under arms to lighten
dry brush elbows
wash hair
wash body with body wash
full body scrub with sugar scrub
eye mask and sheet mask
oil and brush hair
remove sheet mask and squeeze the excess on ur neck and chest
now on the last day of every month i do a morrocan bath. i bought the materials online and ever since i've started doing that it's absolutely changed the game for my bodycare, it is time consuming but the feeling of cleanliness afterwards is literally unmatched.
HAIRCARE ;
i use the FINO hair mask every single time i wash my hair, it helps with damage and it also makes your hair smell so so GOOD. i always shampoo twice and i have a little scalp massager. i imagine my scalp and my hair being sectioned off into 8 sections and in those 8 sections i use my scalp massager 8 times. like i literally count to 8. this stimulates growth and makes sure im rly getting in thereee. i also emulsify my shampoo with a little foam maker.
i let my conditioner sit a little bit while im washing my body and before leaving the shower i rinse my hair + body in some cold water for like ten seconds. i already talked about my pre-shampoo oiling routine and how to do it above. sometimes i make my own hair masks based on my hair concerns, anyone can do it with some research and household ingredients and the masks work amazing.
i know that this might seem like a lot, but for me it's TOTALLY do-able. taking care of myself is literally my hobby and going that extra mile for myself satisfies me SO much...💬🎀
