and this is going to be long.  But it's much easier than doing homework.  Also hello, site that I have not seen in a long while.  I hope you're doing well.

evil boyfriends i guess.  4 512 words, youngbloods au-ish.  The first thing I started writing for this fandom.  The one where everyone goes bad.  Probably not ever going to be finished because it is skirting on the edge of dubcon and that shit is HARD to negotiate when people are actually possessed in your canon, y'all.

ARRANGED MARRIAGE AU THO.  22 573 words, au that has changed shape many times.  The second thing I started writing, and it is absolutely a mess because halfway through I decided it would be easier to do a vampire-ish AU than a regency AU and...yeah.  This is the strongest argument I have for planning my writing ahead of time. 

hiatus angst.  2 637 words.  Technically finished but in need of lots of edits and ehhhh.  Maybe someday.

OT4 bullshit.  59 577 words.  In the process of being betaed, will actually be posted someday.  Huzzah!

oh god why am i thinking about a sequel.  371 words.  Then I realized what I was doing.  No, Julie, I am not writing it shut up shut UP.

cyborgs with Jen.  972 words, cyberpunkish au.  Really fucking hard for me to write for a lot of reasons, but also an idea I can't seem to leave behind.  As the title suggests, a collaborative effort between Jen and I.  She is much better at this than me.

poly bb?  36 461 words.  Am attempting to edit this because I actually have to have it finished and posted by sometime in January.  Spoiler: it is currently a mess.

immortals ot4s.  183 words.  Filed under will finish someday, but have more pressing concerns right now.  Happened bc the differences in the first verse when they played Kimmel.

So I wrote fic with a blissful unawareness of current events.  Maybe someday I'll even edit it but maaan there is like.  Zero in the way of emotional arc-age going on. /0\

Spy AU.  4 691 words, youngbloods-ish au.  High on the list of potential candidates for actually being edited and posted.  But man does it need a better ending.

Fall Out Boy, Pete/Patrick and various background/side characters and relationships.

Teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, Patrick starts playing cards at gaming hells to make ends meet. So far, he's managing, but when he meets Lord Highleyton, London's favourite disgrace, things start to unravel at an alarming rate - until Patrick ends up betting the last thing he has to offer: himself. Pete just wants to help, but he soon finds he might be doing more harm than good.

We'd say this is a shameless Regency AU of the Mills and Boon variety, but the truth is we are very ashamed.

So, this is our bandom big bang fic for 2014 - mine and xrysomou's/outrunningthezombies'. It was intended to be about 30 000 words, and ballooned up to an eyewatering 130 000+. It made no use of the year I spent learning about this period of history, and ample use of the time we've both spent reading Georgette Heyer novels.

25. Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain “mood” to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?

yes yes yes always. typically i throw together some kind of playlist, and i go for mood over lyrics with this and frequently they make no sense at all but wtv. HOWEVER sometimes, when i'm blocked, a certain song manages to break through that and then i play that song on repeat until that scene (or, occasionally, entire fic) is done.
