i’m assuming this is the person i’m thinking of and if it’s not, sorry. i want to say this clearly to start: i’m not saying this because i think i owe you anything, i’m saying it because i’m going away so why the fuck not

i asked you to step back because you had spent the previous month ish putting a weird kind of pressure on me with constant complimentary/objectifying comments even when i wasn’t responding or when we were talking about something completely unrelated

i had literally a folder of dated screenshots documenting this because i was driving myself crazy trying to explain why i was feeling increasingly weird and tense when talking to you

i don’t remember my precise responses to these or the MANY others that are still on record in my email somewhere. i do remember trying to deflect, or change the topic, or even NOT ANSWERING without success. 

so yeah! i asked you to step back. and your response, if you remember it, did not engender much confidence in me that you cared more about respecting my wishes for my own space than about ensuring your right to be in it

and then, maybe a month later, i was checking out a blog that had just followed me -- after i had blocked you when all of this went down -- and realized it was a new blog of yours? like. honestly: what the fuck. 

i have to be honest and say that you, sending me an ask now, saying “and now i've come to your blog and you're moving blogs!! exciting!”, and then continuing to make a situation where you REPEATEDLY put pressure on and eventually outright ignored my boundaries about you and how confused you feel, makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable

but guess what! i’m moving blogs. so, y’know, have a nice life and stuff!

hey friends, this month has been hectic and it’s not going to get less so anytime soon so this is just a quick note to say that i’m moving blogs! it’s something i’ve been thinking about doing for a while now — this blog is kind of a disaster organizationally, and i’ve been existing as sceptick for something like six or so years now and it’s started to chafe. kind of like the digital equivalent of the travel bug? anyway. i’ll leave it & its associated ao3/lj/dw up and untouched but i’m planning to vacate the premises by the end of this week. so if you’d like the new username, let me know (and obviously no hard feelings if you don’t).
