While Chris looks like he used to again (shorter hair and less...dead looking) , there are still parts of him that are still off. His body is constantly changing, adjusting and rejecting the enhancements that Salem has used on his body. This is new age science. No one had taken a man who was closer to death, charred to oblivion and brought him back with such a success rate.
When he was first enhanced his hair was long and rough, his skin was very pale and his eyes made it very obvious that he wasn't....fully human or fully alive. Now he is more computer than he is Human having to replace organs that have failed over the years that he's been enhanced and part of him feels that he would be better off being a clone than an Enhanced Human.
He takes a very very, small dose of Zydrate curated by Salem in order to make the pain from his enhancements tolerable. Now the only thing really making him stand out is his cold pale skin. However his eyes are now enhanced to keep them his natural color of blue as well as some to help him when he's out at night dealing with whoever the mafia needs him to take care of. He's also a lot stronger than he looks the metals and gears put in to replace bones that were beyond repair after the explosion.
Chris is a living breathing experiment. He is constantly being brought into Salem's Lab for updates, check-ins, and any new 'fun' things Salem wants to add to his ever growing list of things on Chris enhancement roster. He is constantly fight with himself if he's a freak of nature or not and if this is really all worth it.
