Salem can usually be found in a lab coat, gloves, and surgical gear. On his more casual days he's in button downs, T-shirts and Jeans.
His hair is long on tip and short on the sides, he always has a beard and there is a little bit of grey in both.

Bio:
Salem was created by his father to help pass on the Finkelstein name. He knew he was sick and needed someone to keep his work going. So he got in touch with Skyport and asked them to create a synth that could grow to be his successor. Thankfully it worked and Salem had grown up to be a perfect match to his fathers insanity. After all, at their core the Finkelstein family was a bunch of mad scientists.
When he was growing up Salem always knew he was being compared to his older sister. A woman who he had rarely met but knew their father hadn’t spoken well off. All he knew was that she had fallen in love with a wealthy man with gand ideas that even his own father thought were insane. However Salem wanted to be involved in his sister and his Nieces and Nephews lives so he tried to connect with them when he could. Even when they were both from different worlds. Even though Salem had grown up in the upper district he might as well have been living in the lower. Their home was a dump. A dingy, drafty old building that was something out of a horror novel. His fathers experiments littered the place. Salem promised himself that once his father had passed on he would clean up the place and make a proper laboratory and then find a home. To keep his work separated from his personal life.
He was 11 when Sadie was created. He didn’t understand why they had made her the way she was. Of course she looked just fine but he knew the world was cruel to synths sometimes. Their one defence was that they looked like humans and could live among them and no one would know unless stated otherwise. Having Sadie blatantly look like a machine for the sake of art didn’t sit right with him and he was right. He saw the older she got the more Skellingtons treated her like Art, a fragile piece of glass or pottery that couldn’t be touched. She slowly saw her go from a shy and quiet girl to someone the family now sees as less than.
21 years later he got a knock on the door, it was sadie she was a wreck. Unfortunately he knew why she was there. He knew about her affair with Victor Campbell and while he had advised the young girl against her relationship with him. Salem was still there for her when she needed someone. Since he knew she couldn’t go to her other siblings or even her parents for anything about the situation he figured at least she’d have a safe space. She explained that everyone had shut her out. That she was alone and had no place to go. For the time being he let her stay in his guest room.
However it was also around this time that Salem was still picking up the pieces of his father, Sadie’s grandfather’s dead. He had been working on a very important project for Skyport mafia that would make them almost indestructible. He could somehow find a way with Cybernetics to bring people who had passed away only moments before back to life. Or at least that was the vision. It was his fathers life's work. And now that all fell on salem and having Sadie around was less than ideal. He eventually placed her in her own home and with her new connections to Citizen uprising he knew she was in good hands. They would take care of their newfound ‘rebel princess’. That didn’t stop the girl from visiting her uncle on the occasion. As a year passed Salem had finally gotten all the data to try to bring someone back to life. And it couldn’t have happened soon enough.
It was all a Blur. The man, who was burnt to a crisp was brought into Salem’s Lab by a group of men. They handed him a letter that said he needed to attempt his new methods of cybernetics on this man or Skyport would no longer need Finkelstein's help anymore. So the pressure was one no worry. No worry at all.
It took many days and he’s not sure how but Salem was able to reconstruct the man back to his former glory. He was more machine than man but it was still all his insides and he might have a bit of a hard time remembering the past few days but he. was. ALIVE!!!!!
Salem wanted to make sure that the man had a chance to get back on his feet. Salem was the one to do that. He started getting information from Skyport that this was Christopher Winters. He started feeding this information to Chris when suddenly one it was like something snapped in place and Chris wasn’t acting like he was just born yesterday. He was talking normal, walking normal and most importantly threatening to kill Salem because he didn’t know where he was. It was like a reboot, almost like a Synth but instead of forgetting he was remembering. Everything. The two came to a truce and Salem explained that Skyport had asked him to help bring him back other than that he didn’t know what Skyport’s plans were for the older man.
They were answered a few days later when they came in, knocked Chris out and told Salem they were moving Chris to the lower district for a witness protection program. However they Told Salem to check on him when he could for any fixes and updates that he might need. Salem just argued and has been Chris’ “Doctor” ever since. For the past Six years he has visited Chris regularly to keep him in tip top shape.
He now spends his time helping the Mafia with any enhancements that members might need, he can even help with Synths as well. He does his fair share of experiments on others to keep his studies in enhancements going. He hasn’t been asked to bring anyone back to life yet and thank god for that. He’s not 100% sure if he’s capable of doing it a second time….. Chris is truly a work of a miracle.
