Another work of Sir Ian Holm that left a mark on me was his double performance as Doctor Victor Frankenstein and his creature, in an adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein made in 1968 for the television anthology series Mistery and Imagination. His version of the Creature, in particular, left me with the same sorry and broken heart as the versions played by Boris Karloff in the 1930s Universal movies and Rory Kinnear in the crossover TV show Penny Dreadfull. So obviously i couldn't resist make a photo montage presenting an OC to couple with him as well. This is Olívia, the daughter of a  carpinter with a midwife. A newly graduated nurse, Olívia gives shelter and care to the Creature after the bad encounter he has with the family of the blind old man. Due to her experience treating several scarred man, instead of running away from the Creatures apearance, she gets close to him with a clinical curiosity, wanting to treaty his wounds for fearing that they get infected. The Creature  is at the same time shocked and grateful for receiving this treatment. When Olívia asks his name, the Creature remembers hearing the story of William Tell when hiding in the blind old man's barn. So he presents himself as William. Olívia asks the Creature, newly named William, if he has any work, to wich he answers he is searching any work to learn, and says the he is very strong for it. Olívia's father offers himself to be his master in the office of carpentry, wich William readily accept. The time passes, with William living in Olívia's family and discovering himself to be a very talented carpenter. During this time spend together, William and Olívia become friends. And later, fall in love.
