FIDDLER ON THE ROOF 1971
As the good book says, when a poor man eats a chicken, one of them is sick. Well, it doesn't say that exactly, but somewhere there is something about a chicken.

So here are small tips about the Rosenfeld Sisters, OCs created for the universe of the british epic movie Nicholas and Alexandra (1971), who are russian ashkenazi jews:
The oldest sister is 26th year old Rebeca, whose face canon is a young Miriam Margolyes. I created her to be paired with the character of Comissary Yakovlev (played by the late Sir Ian Holm in a small cameo). Rebeca works as a shoemaker, and having experienced the tragedies of her father been bitten till blindness by a soldier of the Tzar (cossack) and loosing her mother to ilness at the age of sixteen, she developed a practical, but pessimistic, temperment.
The middle sister is 24th year old Noemi, whose face canon is a young Carole Ann Ford. She also works as a shoemaker, and despite living the same tragical happenings as her sister Rebeca, develops a more hopefull and optimistic temperment, always encouraging her loved ones when they are sad or afrayed. She is the most diplomatic of the three sisters, making the arguments to appease their father when he is cranky and disagrees with them in a topic (like when Rebeca decided to marry Comissary Yakovlev, who is a gentile and an atheist).
The youngest sister is 21th year old Lilia, whose face canon is a young Neva Small. A midwife in training, she brings joy to her sisters and father with her more teasing and playfull temperment.

-at first was a bit bumbling, scarying and causing some minor accidents to herself and her relatives, and also could get caught talking too much without thinking. she gets better, tough
WEAPONS OF CHOICE: NONE. NEITHER SHE NOR REBECA IS CONFORTABLE WITH WEAPONRY. IN HER MOST BUMBLING PHASE, BACK AT YEKATERINBURG, SHE ONCE CUTTED HERSELF WITH A BREAD KNIFE
OTHER PERSONAL INFO:
Named after Debra Page’s character in Cecil B. DeMille’s The Ten Commandments (1956), who was the sweet and suffering love interest of Joshua.
Sometimes would talk about finding Comissary Yakovlev cute, as a way to tease her sister Rebeca and make her admit having feelings for him.
Starts out as a midwife’s aprenticce back at her home village in Yekaterinburg, and continues her training in Moscow under Aunt Masha’s protection and tutorship. When Aunt Masha passes away, in early 1923, Lilia comes as an independent and competent midwife in her own right.
Tryed to hide her feelings for Sophia, first because she tought Sophia would not correspond her love, and second because she felt guilty for loving a woman. When Sophia reveals also loving her and the two assume themselves to their family, that accepts their love, Lilia’s angs slowly fades away.
Loves sweets, and would sometimes ask for them at random. Rebeca and Noemi would chastize her for it, reminding Lilia of how spensive sweets are.
Loves to dance.
Neva Small sings "Here I Am" from Henry Sweet Henry (originally introduced by Small's HSH co-star Robin Wilson). Music and lyrics by Bob Merrill, arranged & orchestrated by Fred Barton.
"What Do I Do Now?" from the failed Robert Preston vehicle THE PRINCE OF GRAND STREET Bob Merrill had an iffy career, but you could always count on one gem in a show of his, whether it's "Here I Am" from HENRY, SWEET HENRY or in this case; Neva Small (who worked with Merrill in HENRY, SWEET HENRY) singing the heart-rending "What Do I Do Now?" I especially adore her take on the last note. A surprise before riffing was commonplace.
