Instead of water, yellow and blue flames pour from the faucet initiating color shifts in an encrusted frame made from fused bits of discarded ceramics. As the flames spill out a faint voice can be heard. The source of the sound can be traced back to the flame—the flame itself is speaking.”

As is tradition since its founding in 1963, Stamps people are deeply involved with the creative goings-ons of the Ann Arbor Film Festival this year.
One such involvement is making the official AAFF trailer this year: a very cool collaboration between faculty Heidi Kumao, Collin McCrae-Leix (MFA '12) and Frank Pahl (MFA '98).

Congratulations to our very own Stamps School Professor Endi Poskovic -- just announced as a recipient of a prestigious U.S. Senior Fulbright Scholar grant for 2015-2016. Incredible!
Endi will be headed to the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland, where he will spend his Fulbright year researching the formative years of the Krakow International Triennial, its origins and the role it played in the democratization of art and education in Poland, and internationally. In addition, he will collaborate with Academy faculty and students on the production of a series of lithographic prints and conduct a graduate seminar.

Design professor Roland Graf's latest interactive street project, Pink Pong, is featured on DesignBoom! Roland recently returned from a trip to Dubai with several Stamps faculty (heck yeah Matt Kenyon & Seth Ellis!) whose works were featured projects at the International Symposium on Electronic Arts -- Pink Pong among them!
This weekend Detroit lights up with DLECTRICITY -- a nighttime art and light festival featuring over 35 artists from all over the world, including our very own Heidi Kumao and Osman Kahn!

Heidi is also giving an artist talk at 6pm on Saturday at the Detroit Artist Market (4719 Woodward Ave, Detroit MI 48201).
