Hi there. Saw your game suggested on server and decided to check it out. I'm hooked and will try to follow it's progress through ('try' being the keyword here. Too many wips on my following list, you understand 😅😅). So my first ask has to do with the bonds: if not spoilers, I'm not sure I understand how these bonds are made. Do they come already made when both individuals are born, or is it something that happen when they meet?

I have never explained bonds before, so here we go!:

Bonds are formed for werewolves specifically when the younger mate is born. However, it doesn't "click" until certain circumstances occur, with stronger bonds clicking into place when the were meets the mate. Others however, only "click" after they have had sex or during a Mates' Moon (which has been long forgotten in modern times)!

Faerals also have mates! Some things are similar for them, but also different:

Faerals generally have their mates given to them when the younger mate is born, but they can also be changed by the god who bestows them should they come to the human world, OR other gods and a few deities can also change who a Faeral is mated to so long as they haven't been marked as mates.

Faerals can ONLY find their mates through sex, however. But! They have an advantage over weres I can't really talk about yet. But, likewise, weres also have an advantage: there are several people each were could potentially end up as mates with, and it isn't locked into place until the were makes an attachment to one of them!

Hi! I loved your game Mind Games: Obsession! It’s truly well-written to the point where I feel a real connection with the MC. I’ve already decided from the very first mutual glare that Loche is my MC’s future husband. My MC’s basically just a female version of him anyway lol. So my question is do Faerals have “mates” like as in teen fiction werewolf books or no? Actually also what are Faerals? I tried looking it up but Google thought I was spelling feral wrong.

Aaahhh, thank you so much!!! That's a really high praise and I'm glad it is written eloquently enough for you to be connected to MC ^^ and oh lord... Loche is certainly a very popular RO, hehe, even with their... interesting actions thus far. But good lord, what I have in store for you guys in Chapter 6 already... 👀

As for Faerals, I made them up completely! They are based on Sherrilyn Kenyon's Werehunters, especially at first glance there is a lot of similarities, but I have very much worked to make sure they're still nowhere near the same. I don't want to reveal too much into their relationship workings as I want players to find out a lot about it in game! I can definitely say werewolves have mates however, even though they work differently than a lot of media shows :D

I can give some info on Faerals though! And a look into MG's lore (which is shared in some of my other universes too), but some of this is paraphrased and doesn't reveal EVERYTHING involved, so be aware of that:

Originally, the natural world was ruled by Fae. The gods grew tired of how fiercely the Fae fought against them to keep their way of existing as is, so the gods made humans to have their own people. Now, obviously, this caused some issues with the Fae, eventually war broke out. The True Fae (the strongest and most powerful of the Fae) found a bitter demigod with a taste for alchemy to create a cross of human, Fae, and natural world predator's bloods as a way to combat humans. It was... godawful how they did it, and this new race created pissed the gods off further, so they sent three goddesses to disguise themselves amongst the Faerals to turn them on each other so the Fae couldn't use them as they had planned to. Eventually, Set and a few of the other Egyptian gods grew pissed as it was mainly their people the Fae had reached and managed to create another world all together to lock the Fae and Faeral in, though its barriers were not built strong enough to keep them there permanently as the other pantheons refused to help (thinking it was a trick to steal their power).

So. Faerals hate Fae for what horrors were forced upon them and their ancestors and are still on them to this day, Fae blame the Faerals for costing them the war and to have a scapegoat. It's a great big mess, and the Fae lands... nasty.
