Awaking from my semi-dead state to ask y'all's opinion on something. I've been wanting to redesign my Jelly Faerie sona for a while and I've finally got something down for a new design but I'm stuck because even though I think it looks nice, I feel like there's still some problems with it.

While I like the new design, I feel like it just doesn't really give off the idea of "jelly", even with translucent parts (hair, skirt, shoes) like the previous had, granted this is without shading. I don't think the lighter palette does it any favors, but I thought the previous colors might've been an eyesore for some people, especially in older art of them.

I think the new look is cute, but a little too cute. It makes Maro seem more sweet than quirky (not that you can't be both) and I do like the impression they give off being that they're a bit odd. It also just feels like... a generic kind of cute? The old design at least had a sort of 90s-Y2K "Clear Craze" look going for it with the idea of PVC/colored plastic (jelly) clothes and accessories like jelly sandals, silicone bracelets, and large shade-style glasses.

I'm also trying to avoid having too much going on visually because I don't want Maro to be a hassle to draw and I like the idea of them looking like a Faerie that could plausibly exist on the site.

Things I refuse to change, get rid of, or add: - Chartreuse eyes + wings Chartreuse is my favorite color. The Jelly Chomby is chartreuse, why can't my Faeriesona be. - Jelly hair I just think it's a fun design choice. - Green/Yellow/Orange color scheme No. I know those are very jelly color choices, especially given Jelly World's on-site color scheme, but I just really don't like green/yellow, green/orange, or yellow/orange as color combos.

Anyway; Should I stick with the old design, go with the new design, or try to combine them in some way*? Feel free to critique, give advice, or even draw directly on the images if it helps get your points across.

Made a faeriesona for myself, cause I'm 18 since a few days and adulthood is scary, so it's fun to think about being a carefree lil faerie. ✨

Inspired by and entry for @annaliesejensen s faeriesona challenge on Instagram.

I don't know much about faeries and their folklore, I just had fun participating anyways.😅
