For those that may have seen Hound getting yelled at by Simon, this like weeks before it happened. Of Hound trying to keep Simon alive and, not fully understood by Hound, try to stave off the radiation poisoning, along with the mutations by the blood. He wasn’t sure if the stranger would survive but he would try to take away most of the pain to the best of his ability until said stranger was more coherent. Too bad the moment Simon wakes up - sees all the shadow dogs, and the massive canine in the shadows - that he's *done* with all the supernatural and takes it out on Hound. Who was pushed past his own patience and snapped at the man, sending him to fall back against his injured shoulder. It was enough to instantly yank Hound out of his anger, and immediately apologize, reverting back to his more human form, before moving forward to check his injury.
