#Repost per credit from & the courtesy of @faern ・・・ I’ve never been at the front of the line.⁣ ⁣ I’ve never been ahead of the game.⁣ ⁣ I’ve never been best in show.⁣ ⁣ I’ve never had amazing technical skills.⁣ ⁣ I’ve never been strongest, fastest, smartest, coolest or most popular.⁣ ⁣ What I’ve had is resilience.⁣ ⁣ This I cannot deny.⁣ ⁣ _________________⁣ In my workshop that I led this weekend I had to leave out a bunch of things- from all the different areas.⁣ I hadn’t realized that I basically have a whole “system” in my head- an entire progression.⁣ In classes I have been putting it out in parts- mix in this here and that there- but when I put it together and talked it out I knew what was happening-⁣ I’ve basically created a system of approach that lends a helping had to most types of bodies without having to section out things for the super flexible - which I tend to do cause I coulda used it at points as a student. #Repost per credit from & the courtesy of @faern ・・・ You know the workshop I’ve got tomorrow is probably one of the better ones I’ve written and I’m glad that it’s not going to be a big group because it will give me more time to focus vs sort and filter the energy to help people try new and challenging things.⁣ One of the first workshops I ever led was to a big group and it’s a kinda weird experience- I know, this is vague- I dunno what to tell ya.⁣ I have much more experience now so it all comes around in a sense.⁣ ⁣ I get people are afraid of Arm Balances.⁣ ⁣ I get it- they see acrobatics basically in public classes because the people that can DO them DO them. And do switches. And jump back to chaturanga and so on.⁣ ⁣ Hear me now- you don’t have to do ANY of that business and be able to do an Arm Balance. Furthermore there’s all kinds of things you can be doing while all that other business is happening around you.⁣ ⁣ Poses don’t just happen.⁣ Keep in mind how many pictures you’ve seen of the poses versus different bodies making attempts.⁣ It took me SO LONG to be able to do any “arm balance”⁣ ⁣ Also this workshop doesn’t focus on only arm balances- there’s other stuff but most people are focusing on that.⁣ One arm dolphin for example or down dog or those other things I teach that you love to hate 💜🤗💜 ⁣ Super excited to lead this!⁣ ⁣ 1:30-3:30 Saturday April 13 @yogamayu⁣ ⁣ #faern #faernyoga #yogamayu #yoganoevalley #yogasana #advancedfoundational https://www.instagram.com/p/BwPKu5JFKs6/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1v0hw0cbss9sd
