Welcome to Sanderson Women's College, a college modeled after the Three Great Sisters.
The Three Great Sisters were known for setting forth innovations that have caused some controversy. Their research has mostly been lost to time, however, their diaries and ideas were recovered. They were the inspiration for flying transportation besides just brooms. They cracked the secret behind auditory spells, which used to be recitation from spellbooks. In their era, they were just considered crackpot theories, but as magic was treated as a science, their aspirations were becoming reality.
The sisters vanished suddenly, and left behind their estate for the public to explore and (unfortunately) loot. The Sisters may have given inspiration for many magical technologies, however their disappearance can be cited for one reason: reanimation. Some of their recovered research mentioned the eldest sister losing her lover in a tragic accident. Some historians speculate that all three sisters were involved with this man. These notes are under strict government protection to prevent anyone from attempting this taboo.
The school was controversial when it was first established. Many were skeptical about letting witches go to a school modeled after such women, but there were a few who saw the potential and invested in the college. Each student who attended graduated with flying colors.
Sanderson isn't the most popular college these days but in its heyday, it produced the most powerful mages and prided itself on breaking the glass ceiling for women. Unfortunately, as time went on, magic became recessive in most women. As a result, enrollment has been low, but the quality of education is still consistent. They’ve had to downsize, but the institution is still praised by many.
Instead of having one headmistress, there are three who manage the institution.
Sanderson has three core values: Leadership, Talent, and Compassion. The headmistresses are picked for whichever value they most exhibit, however, sometimes some headmistresses are more trouble than they're worth. The current headmistresses are sisters who thought keeping the school running would be a good business venture.
Wanda Sanford is a go-getter. She often takes charge when making decisions about the school. She’s short tempered, ambitious, and a rather skilled negotiator. Prior to her employment at SWC, she was a prolific CEO. While the three of them all are headmistresses, its heavily implied that Wanda is the true leader of the school.
Sabrina Sanford is a musician and cosmetics brand owner. She finds beauty in most things, but she'll often be the point of reference for the standard of beauty. While she is a bit slow, she is also skilled in many creative pursuits. Sabrina is also the self proclaimed Dean of Discipline.
Maia Sanford is the youngest and it shows. She hasn’t had any notable achievements like her sisters because she relies on them for most things. Despite this, Maia shows a deep understanding of the students and is the Dean of Students. Her strongest skill is conflict resolution.
The dorms are separated into just three dorm buildings since they're so small: Winefride, Siera, and Maria. They’re sorted through a crystal ball. The Madame inside reads the student’s soul to determine her right path in life.
Winefride: Is for the ambitious, clever, and determined. They represent the leaders of the world and often go into politics, business, and education.
Siera: Women in Siera are usually artistic, charismatic, and beautiful. They are talented and will most likely go into fashion, technology and the arts
Maria: These women are considered Humane, empathetic, and harmonious. These women are drawn towards medicine, civil rights and public service
SWC is nestled in the town on Sage's Island. As they downsized, the school gave way for everyday residents. To cut costs, the dormitories all share one building with sections of it given to the three dorms. The building in which they take classes are separate, but a short commute away. Some of the upperclassmen have opted to rent apartments in town to save on tuition.
The students are also expected to graduate in three years rather than four. For their third year, the students are usually spending the last semester preparing for their internships and career paths. Some of the students also return to their alma mater as educators.
Unfortunately, there are talks that SWC will close their doors for good. The funds are running out, and many students will have to complete their education elsewhere, potentially even being set back a whole year. But there is another option.
There has been rumors that headmage Wanda submitted proposals to both NRC and RSA's headmages. While she hated having to rely on someone else for assistance, Wanda had grown deeply attached to her students and SWC. Seeing the girls scramble around to find a new home and education was heartbreaking. And so, she set out (on her own) to make a decision that would change the future of SWC.
uoommm oc post moment, idk how to do captions but his name is Giovanni. he's an office worker with questionable morals and he eats flesh and he's got a lil obsession with a co-worker of his (ill post him later.) italians am i right
Unique Magic: Shining Armor. Didi can create a defensive shield for her allies. It can also generate health over time.
Personality: A hopeless romantic and chivalrous girl. Originally attended NRC disguised as a boy. Didi took the place of her older brother who was supposed to attend. When he went missing during the summer break, Blandina utilized the black carriage to further her abilities as a mage. Only the headmaster and dorm leaders know of her secret. She is often said to be one of the cutest students.
Didi's beauty may be a reason why she was placed in Pomefiore, but she is also dedicated to growing stronger. Unlike Epel, she respects Vil's rigorous training and thinks highly of him. She also trains in archery with Rook.

Side by Side
"I'm not really a fan of history. Why? Because of how old-fashioned royalty used to be."
"Princesses had to marry a prince, they couldn't learn how to sword fight, and they were always rescued by someone else!"
"I'm sure there are plenty of women in history who kicked butt! Can't they fight side by side? You can't deny a power couple!”
"Heehee, what? It's time to get with the program!"

A Girl Worth Fighting For
"There was once a woman who disguised herself as a man to join the army! Her father was nearly conscripted so she took his place."
"Even though women were looked down on, she was given a medal of honor for her courage. Her Emperor realized that with the right training, anyone can be a warrior!"
"Huh...maybe history class isn't so bad after all?"

A Charming Admirer
"Ah, this is the second mystery note I've received this week. I don't know what to do anymore…"
"Sorry, it's a long story. In short, I seem to have a lot of secret admirers. The thought is nice but…"
"I'd rather read about romance than be in one. Being whisked away on an adventure with a charming suitor sounds exciting, no?"
"Hey...what are you hiding behind your back?"

Didi and Epel: Trusty Steed
"Epel! You were so cool during your magift game the other day!"
🍎 Huh? You think so? That makes me glad…
"You looked like a prince, flying on a trusty steed!
🍎 Eh? I wouldn't say it was anything like that...let alone me bein a prince…
"Hair flying in the wind as the elements throw everything they have at you…"
🍎 Huh?
"You reach the forest with a tall tower and there lies your true love, ready to go on a whirlwind adventure!"
🍎 She's daydreamin again...dang it…

Didi and Rook: Two Merry Men
🏹 Mademoiselle charmante, great work with your archery lessons! I'm impressed with how well you've learned what I've taught you!~
"Uwaa? Thank you, monsieur chapeau! I want to learn how to use all kinds of weapons! They're so cool!"
🏹 You still have a lot to learn and appreciate about the bow, mon cherì. I have just the challenge for you as well!
"Try me! I can do it!"
🏹 You must split the arrow I shoot at the target. It is a feat very few can accomplish.
"Whoa! That sounds impossible! But that won't stop me! You're on!"

Didi and Vil: The Typecasts
🦚 Hmm…
"Is something wrong, Monsieur Vil? My uniform?
🦚 Surprisingly, no. How would you like to be in one of my films? You'd be perfect for a role I've written.
"Gosh, what role could I possibly be fit for? I've never been in a movie…"
🦚 Well, I received a pack of hair extensions that match your skin beautifully. Perhaps I shall make you into a princess? You'll be in a peaceful slumber of course.
"Ah...that figures…"

Vil: Deep respect for him. Dina often second guesses herself, but Vil encouraged her to be herself. His methods are…rigorous and unorthodox, but Dina appreciates it nonetheless. Vil thinks she’s cute, and he’s pleased to have someone who listens to him. The only conflict they seem to have is when he makes her star in his films. She always wants to do something cool, but Vil ironically typecasts her to be the damsel in distress.
Rook: Friendly. Didi begged him to teach her how to use a bow and arrow and now they have training sessions often. She also finds him very unusual, but he is quite gentlemanly towards her. Rook treats her like a little sister and he also becomes quite overprotective, to the point where he stalks her when she's around other upperclassmen…especially Jade.
Epel: Epel thinks she's odd, but not as weird as the other Pomefiore students. He often finds himself trying to live up to her praise for him, which involves gushing about how heroic he looks when he's playing magift. She also loves to attend his practice sessions. Epel doesn't feel like he deserves to be called chivalrous, but he's too shy to tell her. He also doesn't understand why she likes being in Pome so much.
Jade: It's not clear how these two met, but Jade developed an interest in her. He coincidentally runs into her often and follows her around when he can. Didi assumes he's just being nice and denies anything deeper than friendship. She sometimes invites him to her baking sessions with Karen and Trey. Jade is the first to eat whatever she makes regardless if it's for him or not. As a result, she scolds him for being rude. He likes messing with her exactly for this reason.
Trey: She has a bit of a crush on him because of his baking skills. Trey tries to downplay her puppy love and usually deflects whatever compliments she gives him. They're both too modest to take any kind of compliments in general.
Karen: Baking buddies. These two get along quite well. Along with baking, the girls can also be seen watching anime, sharing manga and watching romcoms. Karen is also teaching her how to swim.
Special Magic: Demeter's Agony - When she is in a good mood, Hina can create edible plants and produce. When upset, living things begin to grow cold and suffer. Usually, she has no control over when it happens.
Personality: Hina is a snarky young woman who is honest with her feelings. She doesn’t like to sugar coat or beat around the bush, especially when it comes to Idia. She's his opposite in a lot of ways in person, but the two seem to get along online. Sometimes she even likes his online persona a lot more.
She grew up destitute, and thanks to her parent's being indebted to the Shouds, Hina was offered as collateral. She resents her parents, but still is thankful for living a better life without them. Her intelligence made her an asset and she has skipped a few grades in school. Her plans are to buy her freedom when she graduates. Her special magic wasn't cultivated like other people's but instead happened suddenly. Hina was not interested in plant life but disciplines herself to learn.

Hina and Idia: Dare to Compare
"Hey, can you do me a favor?"
🎮 Eep! (such a scary face…)
"Can you help me out with this program? I tried to mess with the coding but I ended up getting bounced out."
🎮 Wait...are you trying to get past a security system???
"Uh yeah? It's just a fake one for practice."
🎮 You practice on a fake security system? I haven't done that since I was like, nine.
"Lay off me, Shroud. I'm a mechanic, not a programmer…"

Hina and Ortho: Test Run
🤖 Onee-chan! I found you!
"So you did. Did you need something, lil man?"
🤖 Hehe I beat that demo you gave me! It was a lot of fun!
"Ah? But I gave it to you this morning. Was it really that good if you beat all seven levels already?”
🤖 Waa? I had a lot of fun and the best part was the story anyway!
"But it wasn't challenging...the whole point is to stump you…"
🤖 Onee-chan, is beating me all you can think about?

Idia: Rocky friendship. Hina's family is indebted to the Shrouds for unknown reasons. As a result, she acts as an assistant to him to repay her parents' debts. Hina has a dislike for the man he's become while she prefers his online persona. Idia tosses whatever work he can at her to avoid having an in person conversation with her. She's his unofficial vice prefect.
Ortho: Is crushing on her. Ortho’s crush on her is well known and heavily advertised. Unfortunately, Hina has already rejected him but he feels that he just needs to convince her that she loves him back. There's no telling if this crush is thanks to original Ortho’s feelings or simply the chemistry android Ortho has felt with her. Either way, she is unable to talk him out of it.
Deuce: Bond over mechanics. She also helps him with math. Hina thinks that Deuce doubts himself too often and that is why he isn't reaching his goals yet. Deuce looks up to her and often goes to her for advice. She doesn't mind since he’s genuine about his feelings.
Sebek: Often finds him in the greenhouse during her club meetings. It's just her, so she doesn't mind that he's an extra body. Hina secretly added him and Leona to her club roster so she didn't have to disband. Sebek doesn't like respecting her, but she demands that he does. She can get as loud as him, which makes him back off. She also grows food for him to nibble on so she can keep his name on her member list.
Epel: Amused by his accent and often asks him about apple care. Hina isn't good at gardening, but she wants to better understand her special magic. Epel is helpful and he's glad to info dump all the time.
Leona: His pillow. He makes her drop everything to sleep in her lap as compensation for being in her club. She gets frustrated with him and his laziness and they often have it out for each other about it. Still, she has no choice but to do his bidding. Sometimes he pays her to do his schoolwork. There is a bit of romantic tension between the two due to Leona’s odd way of showing affection. He won’t give her the satisfaction of being upfront about it.
Shinko: Hang out alone together. Since they're both loners, they don't mind being around each other.
