a couple of people on that last post are like 'i had to stop when i reached the point where i didnt know what was going on' and i always legit forget that insane shit happening that the audience can't understand yet is gonna be a turnoff for a lot of people. i have a real "lets see where the dog is going with this one" ethos in how i approach media and it has been nothing but a boon. how do you ever expect to find something that really blows you away if you tap out as soon as you're in uncharted territory.

Good news: delivery apps totally use drones in Gotham, especially based on where you live and what the news says about it

Bad news: One's enemies in Gotham frequently weaponize drones masquerading as delivery, in a really neat subversion of "anyone order pizza?" to send thy secret hideaway to high heaven

I just find Jokerized fries so freaking funny. Because you have to remember that in the universe of DC the Joker is a seasoned serial killer.

Like, what do you mean this random fast food place has serial killer inspired food?? That's got to be triggering for someone in Gotham who's had like a family member or someone killed by the Joker. How is Batburger a flourishing business with multiple locations?? Gotham is so weird.

Went and got a “mystery hero figurine” and I joked with the lady about how I hoped to get Red Robin, but I was worried I’d get Superman.

I think it is extremely funny how New Jersey, the state Gotham is located in, is the only state where it's illegal to pump your own gas.

Apparently it's "Because of the fire hazards directly associated with dispensing fuel[...]"

Any Gothamite would be shaking their head at this.

They are used to attacks on Gotham by rogues on a daily basis. Just living in that city puts them at risk for dying in a gruesome way. Fear toxin, Joker Gas, getting frozen in ice, you name it.

But they aren't trusted to pump their own gas?

And the poor gas station attendants.

I bet they judge the supervillains based on how they treat service workers.

You stand at the gas station and Red Hood rolls up?

Yeah, they know him. He's nice. Yeah, they know how he opperates, so what? He bitched with Freya about her ex when they'd just broken up. He gave Alex a good tip when he'd mentioned how he had to work on his birthday.

Thoughts and prayers for Gotham based teachers who have to frantically Google whether a rogue the class just found on a field trip (who's actually being quite nice about their field of interest and educating the kids) has been rehabilitated or if this one of those emergency things from the field trip permission forms.

Let’s talk about tourists in Gotham.

They never have gas masks. They’re almost always either trying to catch a glimpse of Batman and putting themselves in danger for it or some of those weird true crime obsessed podcasters or both. They ask people questions about their family members who were victims of crime that they just should not be asking. They have a very detached way of looking at all the problems in Gotham.

They always come to Gotham as some sort of day trip, never doing enough research about the rogues or how to stay safe in Gotham, to the point that Archie Goodwin International Airport and the train station have started to give out “Safety in Gotham” flyers and put up posters for tourists all over Gotham.

I’m not a fan of tourists in Gotham in general, but do you know what type of tourist I’ve never seen be unprepared or insensitive or put themselves in danger or just have no survival instincts whatsoever? It’s not who you’d think.

Architecture students on a field trip to study Gotham’s architecture.

Their gas masks are up to date, their professor always carries antidotes for the most common Gotham toxins you might come across like fear toxin or joker venom, sometimes including extras so they can help people outside of their group. They drill those students on what to do in an emergency before they come to Gotham.

So in short, screw those weird true crime podcasting tourists, props to the architecture professors who go above and beyond to ensure their students safety in Gotham.
