Easter Sunday in Faifley
We had more daffodils in Church than ever before. That'll be why there were none in the Shops in Clydebank this Easter Weekend! They came with every worshippers to make the Church fresh and beautiful. The hard work of the members created a real spring feel to our celebrations, indoors and out.
The children certainly helped the festival feeling with their Easter bonnets and their love of chocolate. They stayed with us through the morning's service and helped us think through what was missing for the grieving disciples when they looked in the tomb. We thought about how Jesus fills up lives and brings a sense of wholeness.
We didn't keep all the daffodils to ourselves, a cross was erected at the top of the Church steps for all to see. A sign that the crucfix is changed from a sign of execution into the symbol of our faith and hope. The morning finished with us singing "Thine be the Glory" outside the Church - just before a heavy April shower sent us scurrying home carrying bunches of daff's to friends & family as a sign of God's love.
